The Sumerians and Babylonians were huge fans.   It represents duality because you see it only on two occasions . In the morning on one side of the sun and then on the opposite side at dusk.

That's right. It's also known as the evening star!

Yup.   Mercury and Sirius are known as Morning Stars too . .

 

 NASA symbol for Venus looks just like those Ankhs the Egyptian Gods with Alien shaped heads used to carry around like handbags coincidentally.     

DID they know and try to play it down to avoid panic ? 😵  🤪
