The equivalent when I was 21 would have been to listen to music from 1934 - which would have been regarded as utterly unthinkable by just about all my peer group. Not sure what that proves, but it's interesting. Fun fact: the only radio format that's seen increasing ratings in the US among listeners 12-24 over the past decade is classic rock (active rock stations have also fairly uniformly bumped up the classic rock in their playlists).
