The more I think about these, the more I change my mind.  So here we go (and cue endless posts mocking my predictions).

Spa v Ned 1-1
Chi v Aus 2-0
Col v Gre 0-1
Uru v Cos 1-0
Eng v Ita 1-1
Cot v Jap 2-3
Sui v Ecu 1-1
Fra v Hon 4-0
Arg v Bos 2-1

With 64 games and at least 30 people in this, things could get very messy and congested. It will be very hard to keep track of things.

I also think a rule needs to be introduced where edited posts do not count. People can easily edit scores after the match, and claim the edit was for a spelling mistake or something.

When posts get edited the time stamp will show and predictions will be taken before kick off so that shouldn't come into it. I think most people will probably post a lot closer to kick off anyway but i see what you're saying.

Yeah it would be very obvious.. And it's only a bit of fun, anyone who cares that much to cheat needs to re-evaluate their life :)

It might be VJ's backup plan since he's set himself up so high in the sign up thread ;)

I think you should post predictions for each match in this set before the Brazil game starts, like CardiffGreens' post.

But say I predict that Costa Rica's star player Celso Borges will batter Uruguay himself 5-0 (as I know he can from my FM experience), then injury stikes in training and he's out. That would alter my prediction. I'm happy for people to space out thier predictions as long as they are in before kick off.

Don't worry, I've done this for years over on another forum and it's absolutely fine.

I'm interested to see what villaajax says for the Netherlands Spain game. Will he wear orange tinted glasses, or rule with his head.

I must admit, I'm thinking of a draw. Depends how much cheating Spain get away with...

:D I've had three bets for this World Cup.

1) England to win the whole thing.

2) England vs Netherlands Final

3) Chile to win (On the indirect advice of Rachel Riley)
