I really don't think Vlaar is going to be with us come the start of next season.

I was so bloody excited back in March, thinking that millions of pounds were going to get thrown at us by some tycoon American businessman. Now that feeling has been replaced by utter doom and gloom.

Nah, well not me personally, I won't write him off. However, it is a sign of the problems at our club right now, two free signings that aren't really inspiring at all. Just hope we get these takeover sorted. Why would be making these signings now if we are going to get taken over? Let's say for example Larry Ellison rolls up next week after we have made the signings of Senderos and Cole on 2 year deals, where would the sense be in that. We are not going to get taken over.

My thoughts on this: would be a shrewd signing if on a 1 year or 6 month deal. Anything more than that I would be very worried as it shows that we really aren't going to get taken over.

Surprised none of you guys saw that Jores retweed a couple of people last night saying that he would be worth a punt in midfield.

I'll be honest, I 100% thought we were going to get taken over. I thought that Lerner's statement meant that there were bidders and a takeover was a certainty. I didn't think Lerner would be stupid enough to release a statement saying that the club is for sale when there is a chance that we may not be sold. However, it now appears that there was no buyer and there is going to be no buyer in the future. That makes me extremely worried.

Apologies if this sounds stupid, but I really can't get my head around why we are signing players and assistant managers now when we could be taken over and potentially have a new manager? IMO the signing of Senderos will signal the end of any potential takeover.

That BBC interview is very similar to the Tom Ross interview on Free Radio. Almost too similar. And Lambert's comments are almost exactly the same. Smacks to me like the club have given the journos the questions to ask Paul, so that he knows what he has to say. Although that bit around the 3 minute mark on the BBC interview is interesting, definitely a slip of the tongue and he immediately panics.
