  1.

Without labouring the point had Benteke not got injured at Carrow Road earlier in the season I honestly believe we would easily be in a much better position now

So what you're basically saying is Benteke should be manager ?

I could go for that, Anything but this current cnut

  2.

Well the owners current motive is to survive on the cheap till we get sold. I'd be surprised if anyone was spending £200 million and have worse motives than that.

    Old ground.

    In your opinion.

In my opinion we are spending what we earn.

    Also old ground

we're not though are we ? we're still losing vast amounts due to piss poor management at board and pitch level

  3. Whoever it is, I want someone with a footballing philosophy. And one that will be passed down to subsequent managers. Aston Villa needs to reinvent itself and get an identity for the long haul. Not keep appointing contrasting managers and having things ripped up every few years. I want to see a FOOTBALL team.

No quick fix managers who just buy a ton of big name players and try and throw them into a team, I want a PLAN and a VISION put in place that will last for decades. Not a Lambert style plan obviously, I want a manager that can actually coach and manage the players he has into becoming better ones.

One that can talk an intelligent game, not only to the media but can visibly show it through his players on the pitch as they carry out his plan. I don't want another footballing dinosaur, trying to play an old way that's as dated and boring as the whole club must look from the outside looking in.

New dawn, new playing style and a long term footballing philosophy.

    And certainly not **** Moyes!

Just imagine the financial hit Sunderland will take if they are relegated, with player contracts similar to what we had under O'Neill, Fulham are the same. Surely safeguarding the future of the clubs finances was and is a sensible idea. Sure, we have risked our premier league survival, which could be counter productive, but at least we wouldn't be hit as hard if we did go down. Plus, Lambert has spent £50m, it's not like we've not spent at all.

what an awfully depressing reasoning that we should somehow be grateful

  5. That Charlie Nicholas stuff is funny.

You can just imagine Lambert calling up his old pal and giving him that info. "Charlie, i'm telling you we had Coutinho on the bag mate, just couldn't afford his wages so he joined his second choice Liverpool"

    Ditto the others too.

  6. I cannot believe the yellow ticker tape hasn't appeared telling us he's been axed today. Shows what a bunch of idiots we have in charge

Stand by fellow sufferers, I think the ship is going down

  7. It's sad, because I think he's an alright bloke (more so than our last four managers) but I just can't see it working.

well if you'd ever met McLeish, you'd know he was a really nice bloke. doesn't mean shit sadly

  8. I am eagerly anticipating the mumbling incoherent excuses our 'manager' will dish up in his post match interview.

You've just heard them hopefully. What a **** clearing in the woods he is

  9. We do indeed. Refreshing to have someone in the local press with the balls to speak out. Far too many journos wouldn't as they know their access will be cut off

    Well done Matt
