  1. If Kozak is seen as a replacement for Benteke when we inevitably sell him on, we're really in the shit. He's about as basic a footballer as can be (and some said Bent was out of date)

He'll score some goals but he wont do anything else. Sound familiar ?

  2. He was used the same way last year.  He is playing shit and its all down to him, his touch is terrible and his decision making is worse.

Absolutely 100% untrue. We rarely used him as nothing more than a pole there to flick the ball on last year. Go back and watch his goals assists and see for yourself

Lambert has dragged him down to his level

  3.

Lichaj is crap. Sorry, but he was never good enough for the club.

He's better than Bennett has shown so far.

And? Bennett hasn't started a game this season and isn't a first choice. Next point.

Highlights what a waste of money Bennett was though doesn't it?

Not really no, i'm sure he'd have played this season if he hadn't been out for most of it with injury. If you're going to pick faults with our leftbacks i find it weird you've chosen to single out Bennett not Luna. VERY WEIRD

Oh, and we all saw our third left back signing **** up spectacularly yesterday too.

  4. If Lambert resigned from the Villa (please God please) he'd never work in the top flight again. No club other than a desperate one in the lower leagues would dream of appointing him based on his recent record.

But i'm cheered up thinking there's a possibility he might

Go on Paul, at least leave us with something to cheer about you useless word removed.

  5. Get the useless word removed out of our club, and take Faulkner and the invisible man Lerner with him.

**** set of clearings in the woods are killing my club with their complete incompetence.

  6. If we lose due to dire football/formation/tactics Lambert will get the blame along with a handful of players

If we win due to positive football/formation/tactics Lambert will get the plaudits along with a handful of players

    It's not hard really

The Premier League 2013/2014 handbook clearly states:

    "The Pitch

K.15. Unless otherwise permitted by the Board, in League Matches the length of the pitch shall be 105 metres and its breadth 68 metres.

K.16. The Board shall only give permission to a Club for the dimensions of its pitch to be other than as set out in Rule K.15 if it is impossible for it to comply with Rule K.15 due to the nature of the construction of its ground."

    which is 115 x 72 yards

only West Ham at 110 x 70 yards have a narrower pitch according to published pitch sizes

The second, and this is Lambert's fault, I think the reason for our bad home form has nothing to do with the fans positivity or negativity or ability or no number 10 player, I would say the crucial thing is the fact we have the widest pitch in the football league yet insist on playing the narrowest of formations at home. If we played a proper 4-5-1 with 2 decent wingers we could exploit the space. It would have been ideal this season with Benteke but if Lambert did decide to do it He'll be gone by next season and we'd have to hope on Kozak stepping up or a new decent striker

Good theory but we actually have one of the narrowest pitches in the premier league. Also, we would get slaughtered in midfield with two wingers - who do you know who play two wingers successfully?

This, the only PL club with a narrower pitch than us is West Ham i believe

Get your crayons out and do it yourself.

Not likely. I wont be paying to watch that shit again. I can't even get my 12 year old nephew interested. Sad times

    Bye then. Cheers for coming.

That is probably the same attitude the club has had in recent past which has saw attendances and commercial income fall. If you don't keep your core supporter engaged you're in trouble.

A 12 year old supporter, one that could be the lifeblood of the club for the next 50 years has become so disillusioned/bored with going to watch us he's no longer bothered if we go or not. Tragic really. Mind you that Crystal Palace fiasco was the last straw for more than just him.

Next time you're at Villa Park look around and see how few young supporters there actually are. If I were on the board i'd be worried BIG time because there appears to be no next generation anymore. Kids have either been priced out of going or simply aren't interested due to the complete lack of anything for them to latch onto. What's going to happen once we all stop going ? (i already have i guess, well i do sometimes but my season tickets didn't get renewed obviously)

And that's down to the board and their continued shocking decision making.

    PS.

I will add the club are clearly aware of this and ring me on a monthly basis asking me when i'm coming back, and if i'd consider a season ticket again. And they always get the same response. They even rang me at the start of last week trying to flog me tickets for the West Ham match. Methinks they're getting desperate. Maybe the penny has finally dropped.

I wil admit I was there objecting to the proposed appointment of Mcleish but once he got the job I wanted him to be a success. It was only when it was clear he wasn't going to be that the fans really turned so I also get annoyed at the " he didn't get a chance " notion.

Exactly. Only a very small minority didn't give him a chance. It's annoying that the terrible job he did here gets overlooked by many.

At the same point in the season, McLeish had 28 points from 24 games, one more point than Lambert has managed so far.

What's your point? Our form nosedived around this point under McLeish and we finished with only 38 points.

Please do not bring valid points like that up to back your argument. You'll be trying to convince me the football is as dire as it ever was under McLeish next.

    Oh, hang on. It is.

It's hardly valid at all. The season ends in May, not February.

He did say 'AT THE SAME POINT IN THE SEASON'

I bet at THAT TIME you were saying GET MCLEISH OUT HE'S SHIT. Well what's the difference now ?

We've traded one useless dour clearing in the woods for another. And the points and football are still as dire

  12. The fans did give McLeish a chance though.

Not really, if some of the folks on here had their way he'd still be here doing a respectable job of keeping us hovering above relegation (not on my watch though)
