I don't see what Moses can do that Gabby can't. They're both just fast, limited footballers.
He's only 23 though! Gabby looks like he hasn't tried to improve in years
and Moses has ?
he's looked rank since he left Wigan
-
Would be very happy to see him come in for the season on a loan to buy deal.
Can't stand the bloke (as a player anyway, i've never met him)
-
He'll no doubt offer far more as a wing back than a full back. Hope he gets the chance

10-12m and SELL SELL SELL
Replace with another CB costing around 7-8m and job done
Vlaar isn't worth 10-12m. I don't believe anyone here thinks he really is, so an offer like that would be pure madness to turn down given his age, injury record and above all else his performances over the last two seasons
BUT. We'd need to replace with better that's without a doubt. So none of the 'i'd rather have him than get relegated' nonsense. It's not one or the other. You sell him, you replace him. No biggie
His performances over the last 2 years have been one of the few reasons we're still able to call ourselves a Premier League team.
I very much disagree. He's been at best good, with a smattering of very good and very poor performances in between
Nice bloke, decent on his day. But no more than that to my eyes

Wouldn't touch him with a bargepole
-
There's no way we'd be after 10m upwards based on Vlaar's performances in his two premiership seasons
-
It has to be balanced though. You can't just hand out pay rises if they aren't worthy. You may have noticed our wage bill problems in the past ...
Delph was by far our best midfielder, but you have to remember that's not saying a lot. He still offers very little in terms of actual match winning elements (goals and assists) and is basically just doing 'a job'
I love the lad and want him to stay, but not if it means offering him wages he's simply not worth
-
If he wants/is on 45k a week, fair enough offer it him again
But he isn't worth anymore than that.
Doesn't matter how you dress it up, Fabian Delph is only just about at that limit when it comes to what he offers on the pitch
-
Just imagine this happened for one second. Now imagine how you'd be moaning next summer when he has left of a free and we have NO money to replace him
Where's the **** logic in that ?
If he's hinting he wants out and is asking to be allowed to speak to other sides to see what they can offer (lets assume that) then we HAVE to sell so we can replace him with the money we get for him, and hopefully with a better more consistent performer at that
-
10m, and a proper replacement i can live with. You'd have to hope our scouts/manager have been looking at potential replacements already. Almost certainly someone like Hangeland on a free and Randy putting the 10m in his bank account of course

Bent's main talent has always been being in the right place at the right time. You can't really coach that, it's all down to instinct
Sadly neither Weimann or Gabby have this, and it remains to be seen if Kozak does over a sustained period of time.
Once Bent's in better shape and we've done the pre season games we wont really know if he's up to starting come August. But i already have a feeling he will be
-
Hutton has never been as bad as some folks have suggested, he's just an average full back no more, no less. He just happened to play particularly well last night and more power to him for still giving a shit
It's exactly like Delph's never been as good as some folks suggested
People just exaggerate for effect

It must've been a right old struggle only having 43m to spend. Good job his sound tactical knowledge was intact otherwise we'd have gone for sure
perhaps we could get Ian Dowie in on a 12 month 'football consultancy' contract.
I'd be willing to give that a go
-
will be the season the useless twunt finally relegates us ?
-
bent wrecked bents career
I'd say Villa did
We spent a LOT of money on him, he scored goals and did his job keeping us up.
We then, in our infinite wisdom sold BOTH our wingers (for a combined 38m) that were supplying him and replaced them with one N'Zogbia, not so much a winger as an attacking wide player for approx 10m
Thus his goals dried up and people started expecting him to be a completely different type of player than the one we'd signed and that'd got him to the stage of being an 18m striker in the first place
Utterly ridiculous set of events

He single handedly kept us up then we basically ruined his career. Some payback
-
If he scores less than Gabby, Andi and Libor given 'the same' amount of starts i'll be AMAZED
He's miles ahead of all of them as a striker. Get to it Darren

Kendrick went massively up in my opinion last season when he started writing as the supporter he is rather than a boring 'do as the club' say journalist
We all know Nursery is wedged firmly up Lambert's backside so nothing he says will ever get taken seriously by me
If Kendrick wants to come out bashing Lambert for being the failure he is that's fine by me. Anything's better than trying to put a spin on stuff just to blind those that can't see for themselves
Someone said he didn't do that with McLeish. Probably because McLeish was generally considered a nice bloke and not a surly miserable ****

swiped from H&V Grealish thread, sincerely hope this isn't true as it doesn't bode well if it is
I saw him smashed off his face at 4 in the morning the saturday before pre season started. Must have been a big session on the monday morning to sweat it out!
-
If we lost him to the likes of Newcastle, that'd be me out.
where you going to go ?
-
None of Vlaar, Delph or Gabby have done anything to warrant a deal that's above say 40k a week
Personally, I don't care what other teams may offer them, they just haven't done anything to warrant more than that from us
What will be will be

Vlaar is our best defender and he has had a good World Cup. But for me he hasn't performed that well in a villa shirt
This, why some people are trying to make out he's been some sort of defensive colossus for us I don't know

Isn't Vlaar officially the 7th fastest player in the World as measured at the world cup recently?
No, but he was seventh fastest rated in the WORLD CUP
