Has he gone yet ?, there's a Swansea shaped hole that's a perfect fit. He can ruin their good football name too
-
Get him to sign now, cheaper you see,
In a year we will be top six. He will cost a lot more.
A bit of well timed humour. Good lad

I'm very much of the opinion that it has been the majority that have wanted him sacked. If you take what you hear at the matches anyway. I go with a range of folks, maybe 5 in total and at least 4 of those would love to see the back of him pronto. Don't assume everyone sees something that a few on here do, all i see is woeful shite 80% of the time i bother to turn up anymore.
And the stats back it up nicely.
Lambert may even not sign the contract, I sure don't think he'll be in any rush to do so.
a little glimmer of hope in a gloomy week
Based on what? Have you been round and asked everyone their views?
If a majority want him sacked, then how come that isn't even reflected on VT
I'm judging by what i discuss with fellow supporters and hear at the matches. You're judging it the opposite based on what you read on here. Is either more scientific ?
I rarely heard as many grumbles at a match under McLeish than i do now. Lambert is the luckiest Villa manager in history, if he'd followed anyone else but McLeish he'd have had the sack and been driven out of the city long ago

Talking of absolute rubbish. You haven't half spouted some there, 'we set out to win no matter who is the opposition' ? don't make me laugh.
As for an identity. Being a 'young team' is no more an identity trait than defining Status Quo as being a bunch of old blokes (which they are but it doesn't tell me anything about their music).
An identity is surely defined by your style of play not the age of your squad ?
And thus, we don't have one.

NOT a chance in hell. Any money we spend will be the money from the inevitable Benteke sale which begs the question how much of that we'll need to spend just to replace him ?
3/4 of it no doubt.
-
Anyone know who the player was that we made a substantial bid for in Jan?
No ****.
-
**** awful news.
-
As if we'd be planning to build a new North Stand and increase capacity.
There's a reason our attendances and commercial income are down Randy ... THE PRODUCT IS SECOND RATE. We don't need extra seats, we need a team on the pitch that people want to pay to watch week in week out
If you don't get that correct the other things will never be right either. It's not hard to work out

Tactics schmactics. **** barmy once again
-
Just thank God that come the summer we'll be spending shedloads.
Not.
PS. **** off Randy

Aye, just like it did last summer.
-
But passing on so called info that then proves to be bollocks isn't very helpful is it ?

Calm down people ...
Lambert's got FOURTEEN more irons in the fire, he said so himself
Don't doubt the man
-
Might be for the best seeing as his 43m spend hasn't improved us to any great level
-
Spending what you can't afford just to please the fans is an incredibly dangerous road to take.
As is believing a club with an expected near 100m income vs 40-45m wage bill, and a regular 35k plus home attendance can't afford to buy anyone.
In fact you'd have to be **** barmy to believe we can't. We CAN, we just have an owner that doesn't WANT to. Major difference to not being able to financially
Randy doesn't give two shits about anything other than staying afloat in the PL and he's happy to take a gamble with that. Plain and simple. And it's us that suffer from his constant bad decisions.
But please no more of this we can't afford it bullshit.
Obviously never run a business (or even had a credit card by the sounds of it).
Just because you can blow all your cash, doesn't mean you should.
I run my own business day to day, and have dome for over ten years. Thanks

How many 'better' clubs would actually be in for him though?
Absolutely ZERO.
-
Rest easy, Lambert has it all in hand.
-
You seem to be totally missing the point here.
For their second goal (that came from the free kick) Lowton wasn't supposed to be in his usual right back position. IT WAS A FREE KICK, he'd obviously been told to go in the middle to defend a likely ball into the box. Delph and Westwood were the ones not in the middle and clearly meant to be watching any short free kicks
-
I don't even think Lowton was on the right side when the free kick was taken so not sure how he's held up as accountable. From memory he'd been assigned a job in the middle
Vlaar was as accountable as anyone for their third
The first time we've had 2 good performances and results in a row. I like being in 10th but it doesn't take away just how unenjoyable the season has been so far.
Big improvements in the last two games, 2 games I've enjoyed and two results to be proud of. Continue this Saturday and let's see what we can do.
Maybe you should just enjoy living for the moment a bit more, instead of being a grudge-bearing Graham
Still got a MASSIVE amount to do for me to want him here next season. Unlike some above i thought the substitutions last night were mental. Good job we got the win
He's not going to toss you off mate, sorry.
He'd probably like to

I thought Benteke was ahead of Lukaku in the Belgian pecking order anyway ?

Have we really still got all our eggs in this one basket ?

good work, anyone planning on knocking one up for Saturday ?
'we're not fickle, you're just boring us to death' would suffice
