  1. I'm shell shocked that anyone sticks up for Mcleish in any way whatsoever, unbelievable.
  2. Not good enough and from what I've heard about him whilst out and about a bit of cock to boot.

  5. Papiss Cisse in talks with Newcastle, if they don't sell Ba that could be a very interesting front two.
  6. Garry Cook - fantastic businessman, knows football as a sport and an industry, and an expert brand-builder. Also a die hard bluenose. Sadly. At the moment I couldn't care who he supports as long as he did a job for us, he'd be better than that inept, yes boy Faulkner.
  7. I totally agree that he has not made a good job of owning and running Villa, they the key challenge for him going forward is to get it right. I personally don't think that is living in Peter Pan land. If someone like Mike Ashley can do it at Newcastle I'm sure Randy Lerner can. Its all about taking the right advice and appointing the right people. Paul Faulkner is cast as the pantomime villain by lots of posters but I would hazard a guess that next to no one on this forum has met him let alone talked to him so actually know nothing about him. As the Trees said in a previous post on this thread PF seemingly was appointed to try and put the club on a more sensible commercial footing following the excesses of MON which I agree Lerner must have sanctioned. It could be argued that was a good think to do. Much talk is made on this forum of appointing a 'footballing man' to run the club yet the only suggestion that has been tabled is David Dein. I'd be interested to see if anyone could come up with a shortlist of gettable candidates particularly one that excludes Steve Stride (HDE's bag man IMO) and Graham Taylor (no business background). Good post. I've met PF and as I've said before, wasn't impressed with him at all - he came across as an overgrown, excitable kid and I was genuinely shocked when I discovered he was our CEO. In terms of a 'footballing man' in the role I would suggest there are a few gettable targets. One guy who I have been impressed by is David McNally at Norwich City - also did a good job at Fulham and Celtic (although maybe tainted by the O'Neill connection?). Dare I say Garry Cook is looking for employment.... I'd take Garry Cook over the bumbling idiot we currently has a CEO or whatever the hell he is.
  8. I just wish he'd go now tbh as I find his apparent giving up embarrassing and pathetic. At least with Doug he faced the music, unlike this coward.
  9. The trailer is officially online now: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/thedarkknightrises/
  10. Lerner obviously doesn't have a clue and the sooner he sells up the better.
  11. I did the same, however I think Tom Hardy's going to be a class act as Bane. I've saw the 2nd trailer too and again he looks and sounds menacing in it, Anne Hathaway also features a bit more whilst looking fit.
  12. Ok I've just seen it, all I can say is WOW.
  13. Hopefully Warner Bros might just put it online with the leak happening so fast, with the advanced screenings of it now taking place in the states and the UK tonight they should expect it really. The new trailer should be with us in the next week or so as it makes it debut before Sherlock Holmes 2 this Friday. I want to see the prologue vid badly though.
  14. I think they'll touch this up in post production, Nolan himself they've barely touched the film yet and they focused on the prologue. Time will tell, either way I think this is going to end Nolan's Batman trilogy in some style.
  15. The prologue for this was premiered to the media last night, although there's an embargo on them giving away each exact detail they all say that it's pretty special. I just wish I lived near one of the 4 IMAX's in the UK that'll be showing it.
  16. It'll be worth checking this site from 18:00 tonight, it's part of the viral campaign for the film.. http://www.operationearlybird.com
  17. Aimed at sky reporter with grey hair **** ridiculous comment.
  18. I'm no Savage fan but was hard to see and hear him in tears over this today. RIP.
  19. Just announced by the Welsh FA, WTF?!
  20. Apparently she shares a flat in Chelsea with Sarah Jane-Mee. *daydreams*

    Running

I've recently joined the BRAT (Birmingham Running & Triathalon Club), I did an 8.1 mile run last and considering I've not ran on the roads since the Midlands Fun Run (I've got married since so time was at a minimum) I don't feel too bad at all. I really enjoy my running and hoping I can get back into it big time now.
  22. More side stepping General, fantastic. If you and Randy really think we're in a great position squad-wise then I can't help but be worried, very worried.
