  1. I dont think Ive ever gone into a Villa game without a horrible feeling. Its Villa, and that is why we love them (I think). This is a MUST win. I actually dont think all our games are must wins. I think 6 wins might do it 6 wins and a draw!!
  2. come on guts, lets get behind em cmon villa
  3. Nowt to do with tired players!!!!!! Nowt to do with tactics!!!!!! Just **** play football - and we win
  4. teach you all for being so naive. carew 1st of 4. no
  5. pleased to see there is limited posts suggesting players should be rested and that albrighton et al should play. Another must win game so best team possible please, just like at wigan
  6. lol, I thought this page was a joke until I saw the date of OP. Think we made the right decision. Shaun Wright Phillips is absolutely GASH
  7. and rightly so If you want a solid defence, a tired midfield and a toothless attack and are happy with yet another 0-0 draw. This is a must win game so I would much prefer to see 3 or 4 fresh sets of legs and ideas....plus maybe even some tactical subs if things are not going to plan where the subs actually have time to make an impact. We have a squad of players, not just 11 or 12 so we need to use the squad or our season will fall away as it did last season imo. Exactly, we need a win! So best XI possible. Tired professional footballers do not exist in my book. Its a bollocks excuse for a crap result!!! But the best eleven possible is not necessarily the same eleven every week. Some players will inevitably not be 100% every week or will feel jaded or will have little knocks or will just be out of form. In the league we have won only 2 of the last 9 so we are hardly in top form or playing scintlillating football. So for me the best possible eleven to give us the best chance of winning tonight would have 3 or 4 changes. But thats not based on anything. People moan at MON for not rotating/using subs but ive grown to realise that the reason for that is clear!!! Only time weve really changed the squad is in europe v Rapid Vienna - Lost!!! FA cup at home to Brighton - Hardly an impressive win. Carling cup v QPR and Leicester in previous years - LOST We are nowhere near good enough to be chopping and changing like the top teams are. Deal with it.

  9. you don't say! MON in selecting same 11 again shocker. Seems to work though!!
  10. Id go Friedel Luke Young, Collins, Dunne, Warnock Ashley Young, Milner, Petrov, Downing, Heskey, Agbonlahor Because thats are best XI thats got us this far (bar Cueller). Heskeys always good against his former clubs and we want to win the game
  11. Your havin a laff mate. Yeah lets leave Milner on the bench!!!
  12. And I dont get why people are saying throw Marc Albrighton in there?????????? This is a MUST win game against a very unpredictable side. Best 11 please. Im sure Albrighton will be an excellent player in time, but hes hardly a match winner atm. Seems to me that a lot of people in on here take league positions for granted. This is very loseable as Wigan showed against Liverpool.
  13. Im shitting myself to be honest. Think if we lose this we are struggling to get 4th although Im not saying were going to lose. Just think its our biggest league game of the season so far and we must win. Draw = No good
  14. Bit harsh on Warnock. It looked to me like he saved a goal? Surely a 7 as well?
  15. Thats because of who we are playing.... No other reason what so ever. Who would we support in Small Heath v Spuds final? (Possible in the FA Cup this year). Can you imagine us having a thread saying good luck Spuds etc? I can see it now 'The All New Spuds Redknob lovesfest'. I would wish Blues good luck in that scenario
  16. No way is Rooney going to be rested. Stop dreaming
  17. Guzan Cueller Collins Davies (if fit) Young Sidwell Albrighton Milner Delph Downing Delfounseo
  18. Why have everton even got a thread on here? There such a gay team!!!!!
  19. Thats a quality midfield you have gone for there mate
  20. The jury's still out for me. Not seen much of him tbh so my opinion's slightly invalid. For me he shows signs of brilliance (pass to Milner in Palace game springs to mind). He looks comfortable on the ball but i dont think hel ever be a Mr reliable, so definately a more attack minded player for me. Doesn't seem to do a lot in games, but like is said-not seen enough and my mate whos a season ticket holder seems to rate him and hes usually pretty spot on.
  21. If he werent such a dirty get, he wouldn't have got injured
  22. Gotta win this 1. Although i don't agree with downing being dropped. Thought he played well on Sunday and the two assists will do him good.
