  1. Cheers Gareth. Looks quality, can't wait to get my hands on one. I liked it when it was unveiled but it's really grown on me even more now.
  2. Do you know what... it's really growing on me. It looks great in that pic of Albrighton there. Edit: Forgot to say cheers lmarsha!
  3. Do you have any pics of the players kit in action GarethRDR? Would like to see it from different angles rather than Downing posing on a stage in it.
  4. 29 I think and not played a lot of football over the last few years, I wouldn't be too keen on him to be honest.
  5. I am off for a week I was told 5 weeks ago that we wouldn't be interested in any wingers in reply to a question about Martin Petrov but something tells me and jesus I hope my instinct is wrong but McGeady could be of interest . That stems more from speaking to somebody who was present at Media conferences where MON referred in glowing praise of McGeady , bad signing in my opinion if it did happen . If i was a betting man I think we will get Ireland and Keane but we will have to wait as whilst things are apparently moving along there is nothing imminent and anyone ITK or not could state that but thats the word . I'm not sure I would class McGeady as an out and out winger though, IMO he could play a variety of positions and interchange with Young and Downing. I feel that if we sign McGeady, I can't see us signing Ireland aswell . Time will tell on this one.
  6. If I stand in front of the mirror and say MysteryMan three times does he appear and tell me inside info on Villa transfers??? I wish! Would love some action now, even if it means signing McGeady and Keane as SSN are suggesting. We could do better, but we could definately do worse, they could prove to be shrewd moves if they happen.
  7. He has definately shanked that ball in that picture haha!
  8. Good find! I thought it was similar to something I had seen but had no clue whatsoever where from. I'm not fussed how the keeper top looks in all honesty.
  9. I was wondering that as well. Maybe MON was using him in the impending Irish invasion of Villa to sweeten McGeady, Ireland, and Keane? Or perhaps he was ill. With regards to the new shirts... really like the home shirt, will be buying one of those. The away shirt is definately a grower, wasn't sure at first but really like it now. I also like the checks down the side of both shirts, very impressed overall.
  10. Can someone post a link to the os please? Won't let me get on on my phone cuz of flash player!!! Grrr!

  12. To be fair that looks good. That's a really nice shirt that Fulham one. I'm really looking forward to seeing what ours looks like, and the tagline is OK looks fine.
  13. As I have said before, I have no qualms in losing Milner for mega bucks, none whatsoever as he is replaceable and IMO not worth the 30m being quoted. Don't get me wrong he is a very good player, but MON could replace with the funds recieved from the transfer I have no doubt, we have lost major players under Mon before and so far successfully replaced them and I see this as no different. If he wants to go then let him and move on, he has every right to earn as much money as possible in a relatively short career, I will wish him app the best and give him a fond farewell, and move on enjoy his replacement.
  14. It would be a complete waste of a squad place. Tournaments are rarely the best place to judge a player. At best it can give you a hint that you maybe should keep an eye on him, but most often players play above their normal capacity, or the opposite. They just disappear. He might have looked lethal in the U21's but those performances only means he had a decent tournament. I sincerely doubt he has the mental attributes, technical skill or physical presence to make any sort of impression on the PL. It is a risk not worth taking. That's fair enough, like I said I haven't seen anything of him since last summer, so I'm willing to take your word for it. Agreed that tournaments aren't the best place to judge players, it's a completely different environment to club football and a completely different kettle of fish.
  15. I've gone for 5 I'm hoping for an active summer. CF - Keane Cm - Ireland Cm- Witsel RW - McGeady RB - Clyne That's my guess any way, feeling hopeful of an injection of attacking talent this summer.
  16. average at best Indeed, seems to have a touch of the Steve Sidwell about him, wouldn't be too keen on him, let him go elsewhere, I can't see him pulling up any trees!
  17. Having watched Berg at last summers u21 Championships he was a class above, and I was really, really impressed with him, he seemed so lethal. Admittedly I haven't seen anything of him in the last 12 months, but what I saw last summer would be enough to want to see us take a punt on him. His physique and size seemed as though he could adapt to the Premier League given time, but would be a risk.
  18. I agree with what he's saying here, we are definately yet to see the best of Downing, and by all accounts he will be a very important player for us this season. I'm confident he will come good, and will have a few people eating their words, hopefully we can see more of that awesome left foot of his.
  19. But in fairness they played 'well' by their standards against us, but it's how they would play for us that counts, and neither Vassell or Knight set the world alight, as much as they loved the Villa. It takes more than a passion for a club to be a successful Premier League player.
  20. We clearly run a very tight ship, and the shirts are seen on a strictly need to know basis!
  21. No, not for me. Never gets in the Everton side due to a succession of injuries, I think he will just be another nearly man in the shape of the Moore brothers.
  22. Harry Redknapp also stated that Cole was going to speak to another prem club this week after speaking to spurs but it was unknown who... Could it be? Too good to be true surely!!
  23. He wouldn't want to swap the Spurs bench for ours, I don't believe he is good enough yet to warrant a starting place at a club of the stature of us or Spurs. KPB is the only player from Pompey's team last year that I would like aswell.
  24. Collins is good, but imo Cuellar is better, and Dunne and Cuellar is the best partnership imo with a natural right back, whether that be Young or another player brought in. However, it's a different issue whether MON see's it this way, and is actually looking at bringing in a right back.
  25. That's their squad number and not their shirt number. Their squad number doesn't change throughout their time at Villa, but obviously shirt numbers can. And the players are also supposed to park in their allocated squad number in the car park at Villa Park as the tour guide kindly pointed out last week.
