  1. Interesting... maybe Houllier has bagged himself an interview. Not sure what I would make of him to be honest, I would be fairly open to it.
  2. What's all this about? Can't get to a tv! Has some old Fenerbache manager been pimping himself out? Also, I would prefer Koeman to Mac in all honesty, think he would do a good job.
  3. Make sure you turn the lights off on your way out! That's this done until January when we have a new manager with a blank cheque book! We can but wish...
  4. So Moyes, McLeish, Moyes or Ancelotti? Or maybe Moyes? :winkold:
  5. Or, more likely, he's already given the nod to KM and no longer needs to be here. Let people keep up the pretence that we're looking at all the options and dart off before transfer window closes just to ensure not a penny can be spent. Successful summer - few players sold/ released. Less management. All results in cheaper wage bill. Oh and £19m in bank. Nice work. How on earth is that 'more likely'?? Very cynical imo. I'm sure RL is doing his upmost to get the best man for the job, and i'm sure he know's that that isn't Mac. I'm hoping that Mac is way down on RL's shortlist.
  6. This. If come January we have top quality manager in, who has kept us within touching distance of top 4, and RL has given the new manager some money we could have a great season. Time will tell. Of course the balance is that fine that the wrong appointment and we could write the season off by January.
  7. Keane and PVA would be good business on loan for us IMO, provide cover and competition with no permanence to the deals. No problems with this. I guess Keane was rejected due to Spurs not being able to get a forward in.
  8. With all due respect to Mac thanks for steadying the ship, thanks but no thanks imo. He's shown he hasn't got the ability to cut it at this level, and we can't really afford to take the risk. Bring in Sven if we can't get our first choice who is supposedly already at a club.
  9. This is more exciting than transfer speculation! Who needs deadline day really? It's all about the manager hunt IMO!
  10. Where is the other 1% of this poll?
  11. This. We have the knowledge and the power to change the world, we can talk about random rumours and then they miraculously appear in the papers, amazing journalism!
  12. ITSOTP and all that! I'm still very sceptical, it all seems to have been born out of that scandinavian dude on twitter. Now everybody claims to be ITK! Funny how they all come out once it starts coming out in the media, and on SSN mention the odds have shortened.
  13. That was the handshake?? FFS It lasted 2 seconds then Lerner dashes off, obviously elsewhere. Much a do...
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pax3pRo0sco Top quality!
  15. As if its on there, got to love the internet. Just had a little feature on it as well! haha! VT is going to take over the worlddd muhahahha!!
  16. The news at the bottom of SSN, not breaking news I might add, has that one bookmakers odds have drastically decreased on Moyes. Oh, the powers of the internet!!
  17. He say's that our main target will cause a shock IF it happens. We might want Moyes, but chances are we won't get him and we will have to move on to plan B or C. And more than likely end up with Sven, would like Moyes but can't see it I'm afraid.
  18. This. So simple. But thus far Mac has refused to play it. Hopefully we can get a manager in that is capable of playing players to their strengths in their strongest positions, and can spot this glaringly obvious fact!!
  19. Only because of the way Mac would have set the team up, if Ireland had played more advanced where Young was playing and pushed Young out wide to where Downing was then we would have still won imo. Mac is too blind to see that Ireland and Petrov get overran, and without NRC in there yesterday Evertons midfield would have had more of a field day than they already did. Ireland is the most gifted player we have along with Young, so we need to accomodate him further up the pitch, and let him combine with Young and Gabby in more dangerous areas to really damage opponents.
  20. Fair enough. I'm sure we'll learn more tomorrow, hopefully it's nothing too serious ad he can be fit for the Stoke game.
  21. At least with Houllier we couldn't complain about not scouring the European market, as I'm sure he would bring in a fair few obscure signings from the netheregions of the European leagues, like Cheyrou and Le Tallec, or maybe Djimi Traore?
  22. By the expression on his face? Not the greatest judge of an injury by all accounts. Mac said he had a tight hamstring, and having scans in the morning and we will know more then.
  23. Please not Brown! He was very quiet and sheepish on the matter and had a broad grin on his face. Can't see it myself!
  24. To be fair Keane did well at Sunderland, and he's the reason they're back in the Prem, and Ipswich have started well this season now he's got his stamp on them and it's his squad. Wouldn't be the end of the world imo.
