I'd prefer him to focus on the football to be honest, he's no superhero sent to save the world. He comments about the abuse Adebayor went through, cause that's what he got feedback about. If Wenger had gone up to him and complained I'm sure he'd talk about that as well. The club however have reacted together with Arsenal about the foul chanting from both sides. No one at the clubs want to hear stuff like this from the stands.

There's a long term injury and a loan spell at Sunderland in those 3 years. Hutton have done well for us, just that we have better / more promising players and Hutton's contract is expiring. Has much more to his game than Young, and by far much better than Lichaj. Closer to Downing in quality in my opinion, though positions are difficult to compare. I expect him to be a key player if he moves.

I'm sure Shakhtar have improved since then as well, but the current Spurs team would walk over the Shakhtar side of back then. Srna, Rat, Fernandinho, Marcelo Moreno, Douglas Costa, Eduardo, Jadson. Lots of quality in their squad, and many brazilians. If we should go past Milan they wouldn't be my first choice opponent, as they're strong but lack glamour. Inter and Milan have been awesome to play against and I'd love to get Barcelona or/and Real Madrid as well this season. Worst draw would be another english club.

Spurs play in various ways, including wing-based play (more than any other team in the Prem) . You use so much wing play that Bale and Lennon have a combined 3 assists in the league this season. Albrighton has that many on his own. Just the way the ball rolls, Bale haven't had too many direct assists this season, but he's been third last on the ball a lot. A lot of our play comes through him. Not to mention he's scored 11 in all competitions half way through the season. Most of Crouch's assists to VDV have come from the right side, though much have been pull backs for deep crosses. Lennon could definitely be more productive.

In the 4 years MON was at Villa, we were the 6th highest spending club in the country (United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Citeh were above us). Redknapp may not have spent as much (mainly because he was only at Spurs half the time MON was at Villa), but the value of the squad he inherited + his spendings we quite a way above what MON spent on us. Which is also a reason why don't understand alot of criticism about MON. 6th highest spenders and he finished 6th 3 straight seasons. Yet some are convinced his signings were sit, his football was shit and he ws a shit manager.. yeah, I suppose we had a 60 point head start every seasonthen? Good post Actually, even with the good season Bent had last season for Sunderland, his Premier League minutes played to goal ratio was the same as Jermain Defoe's. Bent scored many penalties, Defoe scored most of his goals in first half of the season.

He won't be at spurs next season. Don't be so sure that Levy wouldn't be interested, he's a businessman and the mark up profit on Bale going to city would be too good to turn down. Selling our stars to City puts them 100% ahead of us, and closes the door for future Champions League participation. That's not good for the business. People talking about Levy rather have £35m ... only money he'd accept without serious pressure from Bale and his agent is the kind of money that would pay 1/3 or 1/4 of our new planned stadium.

Not true, just media making a spin of Redknapp's bad taste of humour. He said he hadn't seen him yet, and that he might take the wife on a trip to Spain to see him play. Media made a big deal about Sandro not having turned up when he should have, which just isn't true. Sandro has been a week or so at Spurs Lodge, there are pictures and interviews of him on the net. Do believe he's on international duty with Brazil at the moment, but he'll return for next week and will be available for selection for our next game.

It's been difficult since there's no activity in the market, if we were to bring more players in there had to be some going out as well (wage budget & 25 man rule) and there just weren't any takers. Also the top targets were either not willing to move or their clubs not interested to sell within reason. I'm sure we'd prefer to have someone like Dzeko, but there just weren't any candidates this time around. All in all the transferwindow was good for Spurs though; Pletikosa, Gallas, Sandro and van der Vaart in. New contracts for King, Bale, Modric - no key players wanting out.

Jenas, Bentley and Keane are all on heavy wages at Tottenham. I wouldn't take them if I was you, much smarter to take the money and invest in players that are on the way up and won't cost as much in wages. If Tottenham are pushing for Young, I'd try to get Giovani in exchange. Use the money on players like Begovic, Lustig, Annan, N'Zogbia, Toivonen in stead. Much better value.

Not really true, Capello (67.9% win ratio) is statistically best England manager ever, above Ramsey (61.1%). After Ramsey it's Glenn Hoddle (60.7%, most atractive football as well) and Ron Greenwood (60%) before Svennis (59.7%). Capello let England down in the World Cup but results have been excellent before it.
