So, so tiring to see people moaning. 'Oooh we're papering over the cracks'. We're a top 6 Premier League team, a well earnt one at that. Wins like this are what makes us the side we are.

I'm sure we will have a go at the start. However if the game's level going into the last five or ten minutes, think I'd still be fairly confident we could nick a late goal and a match winner, as we've done many times this season despite what people say about our fitness.

I also saw a stat that was something like Hull have conceded the most goals in the last 5 minutes of games in the Prem so far this season, so could be a game where it's vital to go til the end, similar to Pompey.

I've been optimistic and had a couple of quid on 2-0 Villa with Milner first goalscorer at 35/1 after seeing we've won our last 7 against Hull including six clean sheets in a row.

Really don't understand where all this 'season is over' rubbish is coming from. You do realise if we don't finish in the top 6 and Pompey win their appeal we will miss out on Europe?

Can see this one being a 1-1. Don't think Hull are too bad at home (Burnley result aside), and we are fairly predictable at times so beating them when they'll probably be happy with a point could be difficult.

People always go on about MON being predictable but I'm also finding these match threads rather predictable. Every week people saying the same thing "MON will pick the same team as always". Yes, because he does always pick the same team! What's the point in speculating about L Young, Delph, Delfouneso etc. When we all know the team will be: Friedel, Cuellar, Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Downing, Milner, Petrov, A Young, Gabby, Carew.

Gona be a tight game I think. Either 1-1 or we may sneak this 2-1 with surprise, surprise.. a late goal! See us going on a good run between now and the end of the season, losing only one game (City away) and finishing either fifth or sixth.

To be fair Spurs probably are the bigger club - bigger fan base, can attract bigger name players due to a bigger budget/turnover and the fact that they are in London. I wouldn't however admit this in real life, I'd argue Villa's history and the many more seasons we've finished above them than they have us in the Premier League make it even.

Good thing is, cause Blackburn normally take mimimal numbers away from home, it won't really catch on as a regular chant for them. Only today was it loud because they had 3000 there as it was a local derby.

Can't understand people saying it's a 'freak result' and 'one-off'. It's not a one off as we took just as bad a hammering at Liverpool away, at a very similar point of last season. Unfortunately lessons have not been learnt.

Didn't think we did enough to win the game. I know we had a few chances, but Sunderland controlled the game for long periods, particularly second half. Shite refereeing didn't help, how he missed the save from Gordon to tip it round the post from Carew's shot and gave a goal kick I'll never know. Just hoping for 6/7th in the league now, considering we've got Chelsea away next.

Really don't think we're playing as well as people are saying. Since they scored we've had the stuffing knocked out of us after our bright start. Praying for a 2-1 win but think Bent will score at some point.

Couldn't really see mate, view was blocked and to me it looked as if the ball hadn't even crossed the line at first. Lol. Then cuz we were like 5 seconds late the celebration was weird, didn't really feel like you could jump around and go mental. Thought the atmosphere was class tonite though

Just got in, thought we deserved the win. Played well second half and made Wigan resort to hoofball. Milner, Collins and Dunne were quality. Just don't see why we had to go so defensive with the subs and invite them onto us for a nervy last ten minutes?
