  1. Well my "home" location is Chelmsley wood in birmingham but im in Leeds for uni at the mo :winkold: Which uni u at chap? Up in Leeds for uni myself, going to the game tomorrow, in 3rd year mind so graduate in a couple of months
  2. I was sat near you then. Row X, bout 10-20 seats to the left of the Reading fans. Was that the guy who was singing on his own before the game by any chance? Some of his chants were funny, 'whose that making Barry look sh*t it's Jimmy Milner, it's Jimmy Milner!' to the tune of Monster, what's that coming over the hill. And the one about James Collins having a head like a strawberry
  3. To be honest don't think any of us know exactly what is wrong with Carew at the moment, but I believe it to be one of three options: 1) Simply a loss of form, which I hope it is, although could be unlikely as it's been so long since he was last good 2) Mind is elsewhere, as people have said he enjoys his nightlife so he may just be happy picking up his 40-odd grand a week and heading down to London straight after games 3) Fitness/Injuries are the issue along with his age, meaning he's less mobile now than ever and is struggling to get back to 100%, the guy's admitted himself that he's not kept himself in shape as well as many other pros over the years
  4. Fair question, which a hell of a lotta so called hardcore villa fans don't seem to be able to answer..
  5. I'd take a score draw from this first leg. Anything better would be a massive bonus
  6. That's what their fans wanna hear, it'll sell more papers.
  7. How their fans, of all people can criticise somebody else's attendances is beyond me: http://www.footballforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=235659 I've put him in his place, the team that couldn't even fill the ground when the new owners gave away free tickets
  8. From the Wigan Athletic Official Website: Fingers crossed
  9. Yeah but United did have a lot out injured or rested for that game: Van Der Sar, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Carrick, Fletcher, Scholes. Valencia and Giggs only on the bench. They also take the League far more seriously than the FA Cup. It was a fierce derby that Leeds were 110% up for. Will be a different game against the Blues
  10. Wouldn't get too carried away with them, no chance whatsoever they'll finish above us this season. I'd put my next student loan on that. And as for beating Man Utd? Don't be silly
  11. We owe him from that Semi against Bolton you mention, and also our league defeat at Ewood this season which I wasn't particularly happy about
  12. http://twitter.com/bguzan Does that actually state that he is playing in the match himself though? Or just saying 'Blackburn away on Tues' as in the team are travelling up there for the game
  13. Although I think Friedel is the more assured keeper of the two atm because of his experience, if I was MON don't think I'd have the heart to tell Guzan he was dropped after all he's done to get us this far.
  14. Guzan, Young, Cuellar, Dunne, Warnock Young, Petrov, Milner, Downing Carew, Agbonlahor Let's go there looking to score goals and win the game
  15. Awful coverage from ITV, short and dodgy camera angles as usual. Was funny watching those two blokes in the corner giving Diouf a load of stick after the challenge
  16. Are you serious? I imagine any game watched through BBC text would be 'really dull'..
  17. Good result without several first team regulars: Friedel, Dunne, L Young, Milner, Petrov, Gabby, etc.
  18. Think there'll be a few more teams sacking their managers now
  19. Think I'd rather he'd brought Carew on for Emile and kept Delfouneso on, reckon the goal will have done wonders for his confidence. Hopefully we'll see this through and nick a late 3rd
  20. Think we've seen before that the pairing of the two big men upfront together doesn't work.
  21. Just on a separate note, something I noticed last night; from a distance does anyone else think Downing running round in the midfield with the number 6 on his back looks slightly like Gareth Barry? Seems to have a similar poise and style, both have a very good left foot.
  22. Priority has gotta be the LC obviously with the stage we are now at with that. I'd definitely give Delph and Delfouneso starts in this one
  23. This is what really annoys people. MON will never take off his lovechild Petrov, no need for the level of favouritism he shows to Stan. I myself think Stan's a better all-round player than NRC, but when NRC has come into the side, 100% fresh having not featured at Arsenal and is playing a key role marking Gerrard, why take him off and leave on an older, tiring Petrov. It's not like Petrov is twice the player of someone like NRC and simply has to be on the pitch, like a Gerrard or Torres for example.
  24. Very tough question. I'd go for 4th spot though, puts us in a much stronger position financially and in terms of attracting players, it would also mean Liverpool would have massive financial problems as they rely on the money Champions League brings.
