  1. FFS that went out. Poor by Lichaj though, great save by Guzan.
  2. Some great football already 8) Nice footwork by Bannan.
  3. FFS we are resting three players, that's right THREE. That was the best team he could put out there.
  4. Why are people moaning about Hogg, there was only Osbourne who could play his role and tbh I am **** delighted he aint on the pitch
  5. Heskey will prove you all wrong, he's gonna score today. A new manager a new Emile
  6. Using team on left from Moscow v today's expected team, in my opinion: Guzan v Guzan (Guzan more experienced.) L Young v Beye (No explanation needed.) Shorey v Warnock (Warnock is miles better then Shorey.) Davies v Davies (Davies more experienced again.) Knight v Clark (Knight was solid most of the time, while Clark is gonna be top class.) Albrighton v Albrighton (More experienced again.) Bannan v Bannan (More experienced again!.) Gardner v Reo-Coker (Obvious.) Salifou v Downing () Sidwell v Heskey (Diff positions but Heskey is better.) Delfouneso v Delfouneso/Weimann (Both more experienced then Nathan was.) The team is miles better now. EDIT: Great now the team is bit different
  7. The good news is that he isn't our best player. On the other hand this could be a chance for our other striker Salihi who actually doesn't need as many chances as Jelavic to score a goal. But he didn't get as much attention from the coach as Jelavic did. Who is your best player then? I know Payer, Heikkinen and Hoffmann but don't know much about your others players. Unless you're saying Salihi is your best player? Or is it Hoffmann? The interest in Europe in Jelavic, the fact he was your top scorer and the fact he has caps for Croatia made me presume so. I'm just glad we don't have him or Maierhofer to face this time around
  8. So why are other teams resting players...
  9. Their best player (Jelavic) is refusing to play tonight as he wants to join Rangers and be available for them in Champs League. Good news.
  10. No thanks. I did give it a quick think, and then recalled how he wasted millions of quid on acheiving a relegation place. Then i remmember his smug interviews and Boro fans turned on him. Then theres his tenure with England, and how most of squad thought he was a numpty. Holland is different to England, its why a lot of Dutch players would prefer to play in the Prem, its a better test. If ts not Macca, then we have to have the best available, and the only stand out name is Jol. Southgate turned them into a relegation side. McClaren has won the Dutch league with a team usually content to finish 3rd or 4th. He got to the final of the UEFA Cup with Boro an achievement similar to Fulhams last season. He also reached a FA Cup semi final and won the League Cup. This means he's their most successful manager ever. Of course England will always stick out in peoples minds. The Holland is different to England bit makes no sense though. :?:
  11. If you're silly enough to believe papers like the mirror and the sun then something is up.
  12. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1304225/Kevin-MacDonald-leaves-Ashley-Young-Stiliyan-Petrov-home-Europa-League-tie.html Dunne is suspended.
  13. Why would we sell our best players to balance the books though, we obviously try to sell the ones we don't want.
  14. Yeh guys we're just gonna sell our whole team. Who needs Luke Young we have Lichaj. Who needs Ash Young we have Bannan. Who needs Petrov we have Osbourne.
  15. Sidwell is injured as far as I know.
  16. So it turns out he's rested four, Dunne is suspended. Young had a visible knock on Saturday so it'll probably be a precaution, although he always is limping around. I guess Beye needs a game, and we have Lichaj as backup so Luke Young didn't have to go? The most confusing one. We all know how injury prone Carew is, I'd rather keep him rested for the Premier League, after all we have Heskey, Weimann and Delfouneso as back up which is good imo. Petrov was surprising, we know how much ground he covers so often we call for him to be rested, but usually Petrov wants to play every game being captain. May be resting in precaution? Then the rest are injured, meaning we have a pretty strong first eleven, but obviously the bench is poor. Hopefully come the home leg we'll have more options to choose from.
  17. Agbonlahor, Collins and Cuellar just returned to training= Not match fit, then a risk for Newcastle so not worth playing. Petrov is a player we always call to be rested in these sort of games, as he covers so much ground he struggles some games. Carew, can he play 3 games in 8 days? Saying that if Gabby would be back for Sunday surely one could play. Other then that there's only Ash and Luke Young which are????? Then you have Sidwell who is injured. Which means everyone else available is there.
  18. I and a few others have posted his managerial history, if you want me to find them He's just a manager who lives off his brilliant playing career. I know you did and they weren't too impressive, but you seemed to have more knowledge about it than just digging up stats on the internet. I mean, after all, stats doesn't show the circumstances and I'm fairly sure that I read that someone pointed out them too. I think if anything he is a very bad man manager, especially during his time at Valencia, none of the players respected him and this is one of the best centre backs to grace football. In the transfer market he isn't bad though, pretty much, hit and miss but he has a good eye for young talent.

  20. Some Dutch guy on another forum said Koeman was on Dutch TV and confirmed we are interested and he's on the list. He said he really wants the job... Please No! :|
  21. I've simply never cared or worried about them. Shows how small time they are really. No matter how big they think they are because they have large attendances.
