Think you make some pretty valid points, although I think the comparison to Gobby is a tad wide of the mark, when you consider how long Gobby played professional football, and was still absolutely shocking at the end of his career. In the case of Duran - there is plenty to work with and is already significantly better than Gobby. I am definitely of the view that we should keep him - If anyone can coach him the finer arts, it’s Unai. Its then down to Duran to listen and take on board the advice available to him.

Look personally - I am too long in the tooth to care, and as I mentioned in my op - I don’t see Zaniolo as being a self entitled player, he just doesn’t strike me as this, but equally, when you give up your Sunday to travel to the smoke, pay a fortune for a seat in an atmosphere less stadium - And let’s be clear, many of those present yesterday would not be detractors of him, do you really want to see this from one of your own players? I’m just a little bit like - Come mate, see the bigger picture here, and I am a fan of his.

Yes - maybe it doesn’t look great from this angle does it - and I don’t like to see this, what I would say is this,many players do this as a self entitled gesture - not so sure Zaniolo is one of these. He should though remember those people spent probably the best part of £100 plus going to the game to offer their support to the team.

You are absolutely right - as soon as it went in and I saw the view from behind the goal. That was no mean feat - and for me it further highlights, we do indeed have a player on our hands

Agreed - I do feel for him today. His start was justified imo and he had very little in terms of service and/or luck. I hope this does not curb his enthusiasm.

I definitely would like him to stay - there is a baller in there, I am confident in this. He should be given the opportunity of a pre season imo and then judged. I have faith - this is a test, he passes with flying colours.

Personally I would not call it a great return tbh with you. But like you I believe he will recapture his form. I also believe Zaniolo will, but possibly not with us sadly

I think you are right and I still believe we have a “ baller “ in Zaniolo whether we get to see this is a different matter, but the prospect of seeing Emi back in the shirt is exciting

I make you right, we are ahead of my expectations that is for sure - Also without looking through a claret/blue lens - I really do not believe Newcastle were five better than us, on the opening day, I also feel in both the home Newcastle/Chelsea game, whilst being off it, in the first half - we conceded the second at totally the wrong time, which effectively ended these games. With an element of luck, we could be in an even healthier position. Definitely half full for me.

I think you are most probably right - unfortunately this happens sometimes with overseas players. The premier league as we know is very unforgiving. I still see a player in Sansom - but the same happened with him. Despite this - there is no way I would have Trez, over him - as I have seen on here.

I do hope so - really cannot stand Gobby. Shocking footballer - who took the mick out of a club he claims to follow. Ollie would be a worthy goal scoring record holder.

Absolutely I totally agree - I would imagine they are not the only club president across Europe - looking enviously across the channel at B6. Look we all know - Unai is here on a short term basis, but I feel we have him for a while yet, one more year at least, two at best. I do believe that he has found a project that really hits home, but we can’t forget that he is an elite manager, and as such he will always attract offers from across Europe. For me it’s a case of let’s enjoy the ride while it lasts and let’s see where we go. So far so bloody amazing

I am not convinced this would be the clubs motivation to be truthful with you. A. Do the players need a boost after Sunday ? If I had played in this game, I think my mindset would be that we were very unlucky and that we played much worse, in beating Arsenal. B. How much of a boost can the news of a players positive rehab have upon the group ( albeit about Ty ) who is still clearly some way off? This is just my opinion - I could be totally miles of base
