    personally i rate vass as one of the best at pulling defenders away and creating space for other players... we certainly noticed and missed his contribution when we had cole lazily strolling around the pitch... its a shame that vass isnt the greatest finisher as if he was a better finisher, i feel he would rival the best strikers in the country.... although he does need a nasty streak to his game too...

    without wanting to add more work and grief bof, personally i think ALL bodies incoming or out should be counted... troest, cooke etc were all potential players so the fact that they are now gone means they arent available in the future... and as we are so relient on youth, i think we should count them... but obviously, just put a mark next to them simply to show they were youth players... thats my thoughts on the matter anyway...

    indeed.. 2 to 4 years ago... im talking about the here and now... hes 32 now and hasnt performed for the past year or two in arguably a league better suited to his style of play and with definately much better players around him than we have.... and for the past year, despite playing poorly with only glimpses of his talent, hes still expected a starting place and then thrown his dollies out the pram when he didnt get one... tbh, this is a fruitless discussion.. hes not coming to villa park and i for one am very pleased about that...

    isnt he leaving a year early from his contract end date and fallen out with his coach simply because hes not playing? he also refused to come out of the dressing room early in the season because he wasnt playing... this is a 32 year old who simply hasnt performed for the biggest club in the world and he expects a starting place simply due to his name... if that isnt sulky then i dont know what is... in fact, the more i think about it, the more im gald he would never come to us...

    d'allessandro and saviola would be superb... if we could buy both, and we have the angel connection, but if we could buy both, i would be a very very happy bunny... but we wont... wouldnt want figo... i think hes over rated, greedy and a pre-madonna...

    saviola has been on loan to monaco this term.... his old river links with angel may be a boost for us if we did look that way too... very technical player whos quick and skillful, but more importantly, he can finish... i think hes 22 or 23 ish... ashton may want to stay in prem, so he might be available, but he does show one thing that many dont, and thats loyalty.. so he might want to stay and improve them like he did crewe... if he does, norwich will be back up next term in my opinion... kezman is an outside mention... doubt he would want to come to villa...

    thats hilarious... most fans on here were too busy putting down any possible deal with ashton because he wasnt good enough, proven, old enough, cost enough, etc etc.... very similar to the jagielka talk...

    saviola, ashton, and dont think either would cost £6 mil.... possibly kezman too... alhtough the cost would be questionable... its also debatable whether keane or baros are better finishers.. they are better players theres no doubt about that, but the finishing is debatable...
