  1. Dead mature you, lad. You'se will beat us again next week cos we are shite and are letting in soft goals all the time. Hopefully a few will be back for next weekend anyway. Arteta and Jags - mid November supposedly. who lit your tampon? its called "banter" sweetheart... its just a bit of playful fun... now give us a hug... but if you pinch my arse, i wont be happy... :winkold:
  2. does anyone have a gif of the carew "penalty" incident?
  3. they have made the pitch smaller, but i dont think they can do that before a specific match... has to be done before the season kicks off, i think... totti, that is always the case with us... when we play it along the deck, and attack with pace, we always look a better side... when we start to hoof it, we look decidedly average... it frustrates me that our strength is our pacy attacking on the deck, and we look so good when doing this, yet we change it when we dont need to... especially when we are leading, we try and protect the slim lead we have, and invite teams back onto us, instead of using what got us into the strong position in the first place... we will never be able to compete properly, while we lack the ambition and a (word that means nasty) streak of teams like man utd, etc, who always try and get one more to kill off games...
  4. Seriously, don't **** patronise me by calling me sweetheart, its pathetic. No, Rodwells has only been mentioned as a CB merely for the fact he used to play there when he was a kid. He is a midfielder, ask him yourself, he will tell you he is a midfielder, even said it in an interview the other day. We had to put a team out, Hibbert to CB was the most obvious option as he played there in the last game and was our next most experienced defender. Then the only REAL choices we had for full back positions were Coleman and Gosling, hence put the more natural defender (Coleman) over to the other side as a less natural defender would struggle on the opposite side of the pitch than their most natural foot to kick with. Oh, and I was sayin bout your "using injuries for an excuse" which neither Moyes nor I have! The only thing I have said is that we had 11 out and I would of fancied us with a full team out, not blaming the result on the injuries. Oh and Kurt, what was the team youse had out when youse lost to the RS 5 nil last season? Pretty strong, yeah? :winkold: *awiats the "we only had 10 men"* calm down, calm down... i disagree... you had the players to play in the correct positions, your manager just refused to use them... no excuses... in hindsight, he might not think that was such a good idea...
  5. typical villa... i cant speak for wolves, but we did not turn up at all, and it was an abysmal game... some shocking performances all over the pitch... definate pen for wolves... both clubs were denied a definate pen in the first half from inept officials... a dire game that really didnt do anything to help make me feel better from my swine flu...
  6. my facts are fine... rodwell is a centre back and will be put back there in a few years when he has matured... whether he is a crap centre back or not, is irrelivent... he is a centre back who could have played there instead of a right back, moving a midfielder to right back and another right back to left back for his debut... speaking of coleman, it certainly was a genius idea putting him out of position against a top european side in a 5-0 hammering for his debut, wasnt it? you mentioned the players playing out of position sweetheart... i merely offered an alternative viewpoint...
  7. it didnt stop "some" from attempting to use it as an excuse...
  8. Yes, they've got their injury problems but still put out a decent team last night - only the youngster Coleman was without any real competitive experice. (Rodwell and Gosling have been involved for a while now) Everton * 24 Howard * 02 Hibbert * 15 Distin * 31 Coleman * 07 Bilyaletdinov (Saha 60 yellow card) * 17 Cahill * 19 Gosling * 25 Fellaini * 26 Rodwell * 11 Jo * 22 Yakubu (Baxter 71) Yes, but you also fail to note how many were playing out of position, and how vulnerable it made our defence. your managers decisions though... he had the players to play in correct positions... rodwell is a centre back, hibbert a right back, and gosling is a midfielder... put them in their correct positions, and you only have 21 year old coleman playing at left back instead of right back... and tbh, to protect him, you would have been better off playing him at right back, and moving hibbert to left back, as he has more experience... injuries were not an excuse for us, nor was the size of our squad, so it isnt for your lot either...
  9. superb result and a fantastic performance... pricks like jamie redknapp will have you believe it was down to chelsea not turning up, but dont let that cockerney knobber confuse the fact that we were the better side on the day because we battled harder, made better use of our posession, and took our chances... collins is an absolute monster... didnt really know too much about him before he came to villa park, and maybe that isnt a bad thing for a defender, but since he has been with us, i have been most impressed with him... he and dunne have formed a very solid defensive partnership, and warnock looks very good too... when luke young comes back, i like the look of that back four... gabby worked very hard again today... chased everything down... if he keeps this up, then i may forgive his obvious deficiencies... carew looked like he worked hard too.. petrov had his best performance in a 4-4-2 as well, and sidwell was quietly effective... young hasnt been great of late, and today was no exception... nice touches on the ball, but lacks an end product.. needs some confidence... milner works so hard... he really is becoming a firm favourite... friedel cocked up for the goal, but made a couple of very good saves later to make up for it... overall, delighted with the team... as for the referee, well i can not be as complimentary... in fact, if i stated that he was the most inept official, i have ever seen, while being somewhat accurate, would only hold water, if he hadnt made so many bad decisons in chelseas favour... to be that bad, you have to make crap decisions against both sides, but he didnt... worst referee ever....
  10. i had to wait outside the holte for half an hour on monday night, and i couldnt believe how many man city fans were taking pics, vids and commenting on how great the holte end, holte hotel, etc, looked...
  11. was a very good game... cant really have too many complaints about the result, as we were the better side in the first half, and they were the better in the second half, but it was an end to end game from two good attacking sides, who were trying to play the game in the right way... although we invited them onto us in their good spell by sitting deeper, and then bringing heskey on to hoof the ball to in the latter stages of the game... and heskey is an abysmal footballer, so it was like playing with 10 men... as usual when the uselss sack of shit comes on... but apart from that, i think it was a good point from two sides, who were reasonably evenly matched... really enjoyed the game... gabby was superb... ran himself ragged, and really caused problems... one player who did surprise me too, was james collins... first time i have seen him live since his move for one reason or another, and he was absolute quality... composed on the ball, superb in the air, read the game superbly, and was always one step ahead... looks superb, albeit from the limited time i have seen of him...

    i cant wait for this...
  13. if heskey keeps being shoehorned into the side, we will lose more games against inferior opposition too...
  14. it was the sort of thing that john terry gets away with on a weekly basis, but it was a definate penalty... he isnt the keeper, so shouldnt raise his hands that high when the ball is coming towards him...
  15. i thought that decision will cost us the game.. even when they went down to 10, i was expecting them to score the winner...
  16. carson yeung has been approved by the premier league as a small heath director and passed his "fit and proper" test...
  17. didnt these get to the fa cup final in recent years? another gabby goal, another clean sheet, another win... cant be bad...
  18. LINK I find it hard to agree with that. that "article" is written by someone who does not understand football in the slightest...
  19. brilliant stuff... not the best game, but when their sole intention was to stick men behind the ball and try desperately not to lose, it was never going to be the prettiest... but the quality shone through in the end against the shit, and the better side deservedly won... collins and dunne were superb...
  20. found the ref got in the way of the ball a lot... first goal i scored was a snap shot that was saved from messi, and the keeper palmed it away from the goal, but henry reacted quick, and had an under pressure tap in... looked realistic... impressed so far, but it does need a little polishing...
