  1. To say Ronaldo doesn't do it in big games is harsh although I do think when you watch them (messi and ronaldo) on the same pitch, Messi just seems the more complete footballer, although helped by the fact Barca dominate the ball but Ronaldo doesn't help himself by taking on ridiculous shots any time he's within 40 yards of the Barca goal. I will lose respect for Mourinho if they sit back next week. Although it was 2-2, it's been shown they can beat Barcelona if they go at them, press high and dominate physically. I hope he just doesn't sit back and allow Barca to dominate. It will play into Barca's hands and although I'm supporting Barca obviously, it just makes for a shit game.
  2. Course he's loving McLeish being there, the last about 3/4 years we've been picking up plenty draws vs United and caused them a lot of problems, now he can happily take the 3 points and once again VP becomes a United fortress.
  3. Still cleaning himself and his house up after Weimann's goal against Fulham. You sure he likes Weimann, he only usually can support one player of similar age in similar position and we all know Delfouneso is just so close from winning the best player ever to grace the earth.
  4. Don't dis Burscough, great club with fine taste in recruiting superb talents.
  5. He's taken your crown? I think we all know who is the most contraversial poster of all time, on any forum ever is.... and we haven't seen him for a while Where are you Sir Gary Cahill
  6. Watched Hachi; A dog's tale. Oh it was quite sad, I love dogs.
  7. They are not a poor side though, they're a very good team still and play to their strengths. Valencia/Young/Nani are probably 3 of the top 4/5 wingers in the league.
  8. I get more enjoyment out of a 1-0 win from a 90th min goal than a 4-0 victory. As I say different people like different things. Being able to control matches and dominate teams will give you a better platform for success. I think the majority of people 'enjoy' a last minute 1-0 over anything as obviously the feeling is much greater than winning a game comfortably but I'd rather us be a team capable of winning games both 4-0 and 1-0 through good football and attacking football. Not just a team who relies on nicking a single goal over the opponents. Really, we are just as likely to win games through late goals with attacking football over negative hard working football.
  9. I think pretty slim. If the people making the decisions can appoint him under such huge criticism and anger then there is a good chance they can accept it even more as long as we don't get relegated. Hopefully that's not the case though and he is gone.
  10. 7 point is a healthy gap but a loss to United and Sunderland and suddenly a lot of pressure going into the Bolton game. Not out the woods yet, probably 38 points will do I think.
  11. Sunderland fans saying how shit Craig Gardner is.
  12. It was Gabby to be fair, he was probably just trying to make friends.
  13. It'll only get worse and with tickets £30+ can you blame the fans?
  14. I disagree, I think we'd be flying around mid-table with that sort of money.
  15. How can a professional footballer playing in the Premiership be that bad at being able to kick the ball. I meant, it's quite a basic requirement of a footballer yet he seems to struggle as he waltzes down the right flank only to attempt to cross the ball but instead fall over and connect with the ball so it rolls about 10 yards into the path of the opposition. I've not seen anyone this bad since.....oh bollocks, Emile Heskey.
  16. I'm so frustrated at what we've become, his management is disgraceful. 7 wins all season. 7 for **** sake. We're making last season look successful. I've always found name calling very childish but quite frankly McLeish is an incompetent bellend and should **** off immediately.
  17. A little different this season though given Real Madrid dominance and lead for so long. Just like Man United would be boring again if it weren't for the fact Man City were so far in front and have just crumbled completely. Funny.
  18. You are right, this has been done to death to be fair and you can find examples of both teams getting lucky decisions this season and unlucky decisions. Although discussing simply the game tonight, I'm still at a loss about the supposed penalties? Benzema - the one commentator just said he fell down tired and exhausted without appealing. Handball - arms down right next to his chest, can't do anything about that and commentator said it himself? Ozil and Ronaldo both dived to try and win penalties and failed, apart from that?
  19. and if they are penalties, what is the difference between those decisions and the two penalties Barca didn't get when they drew away at Valencia when the game was level and went onto drop points? Holy smokes, there is a conspiracy for Valencia to finish top 4 with all these decisions!
  20. When were those incidents? I'm pretty sure both times he said it wasn't a penalty which was correct if we're thinking same incidents. Anyway have to laugh at Pepe, kicking Arbeloa. Tragic
  21. Bloody diving cheats 4 point gap now, very interesting!
  22. Anyway I think these sort of things separate him as the best in the world. http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/brilliant-lionel-messi-pass-v-real-zaragoza/ He's more than a footballer who can put the ball in the net at ridiculous rates, he's a genius and only him can do things like that and draw so many players in and then play a pass that well just isn't on in any way. Even pause it at 0.05 just before he passes it and look at the gaps.
  23. 60 goals this season now. That is quite good.
