Cant see us not playing Mcginn right now hes been playing immense and doesn’t deserve to lose his position, ramsey, bailey, cash/young, is where we can replace all three and juggle the rest. But we should see three new names coming straight into that starting eleven, anyone else will have to wait until theres a dip in form to get a chance but other than those guys none of these lot should be getting replaced without it warranted

But i feel like its our attack areas which require the main investment and if those areas were firing on all cylinders we would be in top four as our defence suggests its pretty solid as of now but eventually yeah they will need to be upgraded.

I think with 4 or so fresh additions under Emery will not only be knocking on the door of champions league places next season but will be very comfortable in it, im only fearing Man City at this point as i can see us building a very solid attack on top of a quite rockhouse defence come summer… we are willing tear down the fences and the elite

Right heres the deal the first name on that hit list was Mcginn NOT Mings, we were all gunning for him at the time of Emery’s arrival (including myself) and rightly so.. however he has now become along with Mings as the first names on the teamsheet , it is quite a remarkable turnaround from them both but hope that puts this dilemma to bed. Now the one player who us definitely at the top of that list now is Leon Bailey who has been awful and most if not all of us can agree and should be getting shipped out the first team with immediate effect. It would be a terrible decision to sign a new CB with intentions of dropping Konsa and Mings who have been solid and shown great progress, we have Diego who is supposed to be a better player than them BOTH so that is not an area of our concern imo we can get by comfortably with them boys. Also Guendouzi for me personally is a name we were more than happy to toy with when the aim was mid tablish 9-12 BUT if we are going in that powerhouse direction then our targets/options will have now changed and im certain 4-6th are the positions we will be challenging for next season mark my words our ambition is HUGE and only a few of us are recognising this at current. But this will mean a higher calibre of player or quality will be purchased.

Whats annoying is we have kept the most clean sheets or at least one of 2 or 3 teams to do so in 2023 and we are talking about buying pau torres and all these defenders… mings and konsa under emery have shown thus far there is zero need to look elsewhere for any centre backs however we do need them pushed for competition and thats what diego carlos is for, and if Carlos cant get a game then that tells you everything about ty and konz right now, christiansen who we have been linked with i would find hard to turn down but i am very content with what we have in that area , main focus is right back and the forward areas.

Look this team, the manager and our support deserve all round praise, nothing much unai could have tried and second half we played very well and unlucky not to leave with a point, united played tough and were prepared for us in almost every way.. all in all we are a bloody WELL coached team and stood right in there faces and showed no respect, if this is how we are going to keep playing there will be no reason to worry moving forward.. its so easy for fans to start speaking negative and looking for all sorts to say but we got cut out by one goal which was not a awful goal to concede. TBH im struggling to give MOTM as several players played very well, i would include ramsey, mcginn and konsa in my pick of three. Im so impressed with these boys and this certainly wont dampen my day, its a loss but i don't see it as one because the fight and commitment we showed… UTV !! proud of you boys

I think if we finish in top 8 we may set our sights elsewhere and not bring in Guendouzi as the profile in player will upgrade slightly, ship out bailey and bring in a top forward should be our priority alongside right back which we will need to spend big on both, a central midfielder (box to box) we will need someone who is driven and experienced relatively youngish in that 24-27 bracket and to conclude the window a backup GK. I’m no longer throwing in recommendations except for Nico Williams (Ath Bilbao) as Emery will have exactly who he wants in mind and further more hes not listening to little old me on villatalk

We need to replace bailey with a top forward and that will be our signature buy this summer , maybe its Nico Williams £43m and then a new RB … Followed by a 21/22 yr old dominant central mid and a back up GK…. Any more you reckon?? … bare in mind we’ve just signed a forward in Duran who albeit is not ready to start each game but will be back up to whoever we sign.

A match i want us to win the most, hate Newcastle more than almost just about everyone, they annoy the life out of me, i would like to exchange the win today against forest for Newcastle i feel its gonna be a day where we will be brought back to earth, but we as villa fans would never hear the last of it if they win especially as they are so high up as well… beat Newcastle along with a win at either old trafford or anfield and that would be the best season ive been able to witness with this club

A game i expected us to slip up , tbf I expected that against leicester, this is isn’t the villa way whats going on! played average and still won 2-0 comfortably, don't know what to say but delighted with the side and emery’s magic which is working a tee.

Luiz was far from incredible and in fact untidy and poor at times, sometimes a win masks over poor performances , ramsey not far behind… standouts were buendia, mcginn and moreno, played phenomenal especially the latter two. Funny how football works as i never wanted to see mcginn anywhere near the first team and buendia was in that same conversation and now they are the two best performers tonight along with moreno
