Your right if they perhaps played in one of europes top leagues but you wouldn’t be in those leagues for so long if you had something different to stand out respectfully of course

Firstly stop posting any information from football insider secondly we should not be entertaining links signing a 31 yr old right back who is turning 32 in couple months, the only player we should be signing over the age of 31 is a goalkeeper. Lastly we should certainly not be paying €65M release fees for any defender when this is the area we need to develop the least.

Id like our marquee transfer record signing to be João Felix, exquisite player and under the professor he would strive remarkably, Pedro Goncalves should also excel on the left… im undecided whether signing Felix is unrealistic for us or not BUT we’re in the conversation at least for now… guys we’re not getting a champions league finalist in Dumfries so we need to look at other options in that area, in regards to Harvey Barnes I’m not looking down at him at all he scored 13 in the league last season but signing two relegated players doesn’t give me much optimism, its a bit like a catch 22 really. i think Emery explores his options abroad, could do with signing a young south american with flair 19/20 yrs old on the cheap and build him up similarly to Martinelli.

Bailey,buendia,cash will be upgraded on and they will simply become more squad players or used in less games so to speak, then we may add another CB and certainly a GK … so minimum of 5 signings but we will most likely end up with 6 new signings and at least 5 heading out the door, id probably want us to sell bailey so we can scrape up some of what we spent but definitely keep buendia and cash.

I see what you’ve tried to do , just slightly off with the choice of players, we need two forward players that get almost double G/A to what buendia/bailey have given us over the past season or two and in aid of watkins giving us that 13-15 goal return. Out of the linked Nico Williams, Ferran Torres, Large Ramazani, Harvey Barnes and Joao Felix, i think felix and Barnes are the only players that would be able to get 11+ goals if playing regularly in that forward wide area, the rest id probably say dont hit that mark. However would take Nico as his assists would be a heavy contribution.

Yeah I basically echo everything you’ve said here … so id say two forward players RW/SS + LW/CF... definitely a solid RB , goes without saying a Olsen replacement and a CB (maybe)… i think that central midfield area is complete with the addition of Tielemans.

Id say our midfield is 4th/5th best (better than liverpools), but our attacking side which would include watkins and maybe 1 or 2 players alongside him then id say 8th best (attack), we need to sharpen up heavy in this area, defence id say 5th/6th best (defence)

Yeah Luke looks a top guy all credit to him, and id be concerned if UE didn’t know who was coming in as id like him to be the one that starts up any transfer process as he should be identifying exactly who he wants unlike some other clubs that dont keep their head coach/managers in the loop. I find contentment in the fact he signed mbappe for PSG and Martinelli/Saliba for Arsenal, its the latter you would say were Unai’s scouting intelligence team as i think PSG the franchise would probably have poached Mbappe. If the Nico Williams ship has sailed then who could we snap up that is just as efficient if not more than him, we need to forward players and i would have liked nico to be one of them.
