I’d say Spurs have more pace than us from back to front save one or two positions. That causes more problems for other teams. They also play quicker. 

We’ve slowed down the press beating pass and changed it to a gerrard esque lump forward for Ollie to compete for. 

If Pau isn’t available then someone has to recreate his press breaking pass types or we find a different way to get around it. 

Our current style of play is going to have us drop down the league.

Does anyone know what @GlobalVillan pointed out about Spurs?

I think it’s a case of No Mings or Pau is the issue -  for different reasons (?). 

We need a right footed Pau.

It’s because they’re the two leaders on the pitch. They are constantly talking and positioning the others around them. 

I was surprised Pau had that ability - he gave Diego the most wonderfully elegant of rockets in one of the games where he didn’t step up for an offside. 

Tielemans is another one.

I think we lack leadership at the moment. Carlos is strong as an ox but not someone I’d say is a leader. Pau funnily enough is a leader and he marshals the defence admirably.

I’m surprised we didn’t come out and go balls to the wall like we did against them last season and against Man City. We then could have sat back and played our way. 

We were poor on the ball in the first half too and the decision making was diabolical. The confidence is shot. However it was important that Ollie scored and he also got a (VAR) chalked off second but the finish was there.

in the first game we missed too many chances but tonight we were outplayed , out thought and out fought.

Good night.  It’s only a game take the night off lads. We’ve had worse. 

Most likely drop back to where this squad is in terms of quality. I always said top 6 and the Conference league would be very good for us.

But our start has had me dreaming of top 4 but performances like this are not going to help. 

It’s been very flat and very low on quality.

Woeful first half  (except first ten minutes) dominated the second half and their keeper made some good saves especially the one from cash. Would have taken a win or a defeat. Replay isn’t ideal.
