.. A team full of bigguns will beat a team full of littleuns , but a team of bigguns and littleluns will beat either. The beauty of football.

Replicating 11 Ronaldos v 11 Messis is fun

Got knocked off the ball way too easily for my liking. He woudn't have done that when fully fit, he would be quicker to react and have better awareness.

This comes with game fitness will will come with time.

Yes he had some fine moments like you pointed out but it was clear he is not up to speed yet which again, is understandable.

Erm……… you seem to post like you’re some mentality monster but evidently understanding the nuances of the game are lost on you.

and you’ve contradicted yourself many times in your post.

yes................but they have another element to their game, if you look for it....that maybe we are short of.......are you saying you cannot see a difference between Grealish or foden, because they are technically giffted too.

Technically gifted is a crucial element, but in some postions, other additional attributes are required.

When you reach the upper echelons of the Premier League like we have, playing some fine, fine, football....other challenges will come our way, we are finding that out.

When you get to our position, rarely can players rely on one dimensional elements to their game, they have to be rounded to sustain the rigours of this league.....its arduous, and we have to have personnel in the squad, who can deal, with arduous.

That does not mean filling the team, with thugs, but it does mean having fierce competitors, who can help free up, our flair players....we are too easily negated.

We are a fiercely competitive team as is proven by our 2023 points tally. We’ve been missing Tielemans and Pau recently and it has shown.

    you are right.

...but if you are waiting for officials, to protect us, you will have a long wait.....we have to do that for ourselves.

Why do you think Man City have Rodrigo?....why do you think SAF had Roy keane to look after his flair players, during their halcyon days.

You should have seen Eamon Deacy in his pomp, they didn't call him psycho for nothing....look the game has changed, I can hear it coming....but you still have to have a destroyer in the ranks, they are just stealthier with it, as Tarkowski, can testify.

Man city have Rodri because he’s one of the best technically gifted players in the world who can also defend through good positioning and anticipation. Roy Keane was also very good technically .

There was a couple of times, in the 1st half, when a better touch and hes through on goal. He is what he is, he works hard, can't fault his attitude and workrate, but hes not top quality

I felt this too his touch took him out to the side instead of straight forward to the goal . Rooney used to be brilliant at that first touch to goal.

It was both.....if you struggle physically, the technical game can get affected adversely...as opponents stop you playing your normally technical game.( by the way, I am not trying to labour physicality, because its just one element of game....but it does seem to be dismissed, very quickly, as irrelevant ,in some quarters)

All those teams, above,  let you play, because they fancy their chances as Liverpool and Newcastle highlighted in their home games against us.... we was pummeled with intensity, and urgency, not to mention talent...and we had no answer.

Look, we are doing some things right, no doubt, and in some of the better games, doing more right than wrong.....but it doesn't stop us looking at the last 3 games, and seeing shortfalls, that maybe we can work on.

Hand on heart....was that what you expected form a top 4 team today?....be honest.

As per Emery we were in control for the most part but didn’t take our chances.

also we had as many chances as Newcastle did in that game but they took theirs we missed too many easy chances hence lost.

    yes we do.

But we struggle, with the press, to create anything, against teams intent to stop us....every time we get the ball, we are challenged, and too many times the opponent disrupts our rhythym...it then becomes scrappy.

This happens more often away from home.....and Diaby and Bailey look too lightweight, away from home....I thought Ollie was poor too, absolutely no threat.

No threat, is the really disturbing bit.....He has to make threats, of his own.

The best pressing teams in the league are Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Brighton, Arsenal and Newcastle. Unai Emery has beaten them all.

The problem today wasn’t physical it was technical.

This is our squad minus Zaniolo that got 2nd most points in 2023 4 points more than Liverpool and we've added Torres Diaby Zaniolo Tielemans in that period and 2 have made significant impact and Diaby has chipped in with 4 goals and 4 assists and Zaniolo rescued a point recently. 7 games to make it to Conference final and some FA Cup games thrown in if we beat Chelsea. I don't think that's too taxing

Getting 2nd most points during the course of a calendar year is different to getting second most points during a season because the pressure of failure can increase fatigue on players.

I saw a random claim Samsung was going to be our new sponsor funnily enough.

    Likely nonsense though.

Apparently the BK8 deal is quite healthy.

I think I got it from one of your posts above? I wanted to see how Samsung would look on our kits.
