I think some people need to calm down and stop giving it the "big club" billy big bollocks routine. Us signing Darren Bent for a fee in the region of £20 million pounds is a statement of intent, but it's nothing to do with us being a "big club". This is all Randy's doing and don't you forget it. This is a statement of intent from Randy Lerner, nobody else. Before you start flipping Holloway the v's and asking him "Who's a half-arsed club now?" remember that we're incredibly lucky to have an owner like Randy Lerner. This signing has given me a small taste of what it must be like to be a Man City fan. Fair play to them, this is exciting! I'm not going to start getting ideas above my station though and go around branding us a "big club" that's "back" because our owner has decided to splurge some cash. On a more positive note however, WA-HOO! What a signing this will be! Exactly what we need. Someone to stick the ball into the back of the net. We've been crying out for this for years. AVFC

A few thoughts - Lichaj MOTM. He had Bale in his pocket all match, so much so he eventually swapped wings Albrighton was anonymous for the first 45 minutes, much better second half Delfouneso - his movement is a breath of fresh air. Constantly wants the ball Delph - Consistently wasted possession. I think we brought him back too early Petrov - Great to have him back, we've missed him a lot. Not the worst performance ever. People forget that Spurs are a very, very good side. VDV is a class act.

Bit harsh on Nigel!! He almost did his hamstring trying to stop that. Fault was the inability of our defence to jump for that ball allowing Sharnar a free header.. No, not at all. If Nigel had been on his post in the correct position he wouldn't have had to move to clear the ball. Sure, he tried stretching but that was because he left his post.
