  1. Can NRC/Sidwell/Delph/Gardner play with their back to goal? Do they offer us an aerial threat in the box? Do they have the experience and strength of Emile? Perhaps it you who is being "idiotic" by not being able to get your head around the concept that Heskey is a valuable asset to us and it isn't just as black and white as "Heskey playing CM".
  2. We've just beaten Manchester United at Old Trafford for the first time in 26 bloody years. As someone who likes to post, at length, on these forums.. all you have to contribute on this occasion is that?
  3. Other than the location of where we are playing and number of supporters we have, what difference does it make if we're home or away?
  4. We're gonna do these rocket polishers. Cannot wait.
  5. Milner's goal was a cracker as was Dunne's. Carew, a thunderbolt right down the middle. First half - brilliant. Roll on Man United. AVFC.
  6. SSN after the game apparently. Semi-finals here we come. Get the fook in!
  7. Or perhaps, realizing they are currently going out of a cup competition, Portsmouth have started to play a bit?
  8. Perhaps they watched the Liverpool, Chelsea and Bolton games instead.
  9. The main reason for me is that O'Neill is into his 4th year, and yet here we are, still playing turgid football that's dismal to watch. I don't expect us to win every match, but then neither do I expect to see the likes of Wigan, Burnley and Blackburn give us a lesson in how to play proper football. You sound like a Newcastle fan. Look where their "proper football" has got them!
  10. Sorry but this is rubbish. I almost feel compelled to ask "Do you go to games/watch them?" but I won't bother. Wolves away. MON brings Heskey on. Heskey assists, Gabby scores. Everton away. MON brings Carew on at half-time, Carew scores. Burnley away. MON brings Heskey on, Heskey scores. Those are 3 just off the top of my head.
  11. Is this really necessary? All it does is offer encouragement to the manic depressives/wind up merchants.
  12. Couldn't have put it better myself. Up the Villa!
  13. He's been a beast in pre-season. Probably doesn't help being paired with Davies who hasn't impressed me for a while now.
  14. I must have dreamt us finishing 6th last season then.
  15. Well, yes it is. Are you saying you were going to post this poll regardless of todays result? We lost and as a result you've started this poll.
