  1. Same could be said of yourselves. Didn’t see anything to be scared of villa. Knock it long to kodja, have him hold it up & try to get grealish to do something, who did nothing, doesn’t really phase me
  2. Honestly this is funny. What law did he break. The law changed in 2010. It’s up to the ref to stop the game if he thinks its a serious enough injury. You all taking the John terry morale high ground. You act like you don’t do it anymore is laughable. You’re lucky bielsa is an honourable bloke When players dive eg Watkins for dean smiths Brentford & get a penalty & score where was dean smith asking him to miss. All this scummy club stuff is childish everyone is as bad & you need to get over it
  3. 2 hours & that was your best response. Need to think harder
  4. No stop being biased. You can’t have it both ways. You’re keeper going down in the last 10 mins & grealish getting up after the cooper tackle only to go down to get him booked is exactly the same.
  5. Really as if watching your keeper feign injury in the last 10 mins or grealish standing up waving a card & going down is any different. I’m glad bamford was smart enough to play you at your own game.
  6. Bamford missed 26 games Roofe has had 2 spells out injured we haven’t had a fully fit squad all season. At one point we had 5 players under 21 on the bench
  7. Think a few of my post have been taken a little out of context. I’ve been on this forum since before Xmas & I haven’t come on here to brag or belittle villa at all. I said on my first ever post I like the debate as when you’re on your own forums there is obviously club bias, I like to be say devils advocate. Obviously you haven’t been on tv much since your run started barring the Birmingham game & you looked ok. But dean smith has always struck me as wanting to play attacking wise which you when we played you at villa park & we were the better team even though we were 2-0 down as you left gaps for us to exploit, now during your run whilst it is very impressive, you’ve not come up against teams that will really punish you playing that way. If you get chances yourself I’ve no doubt your dangerous you’ve got quality players, but my point is you won’t know how you’d cope against Leeds or Norwich etc until the last 2 games of the season, so you don’t know. If you played like Birmingham do i’d Be more worried as they are the teams we’ve struggled against boro as well who try to shit up shop as soon as they get in front, that would worry in a one off final, against open teams I’d fancy us as I know we’d create chances. As well as that I’ve said I want Norwich to **** up & proper clubs like yourself go up & im not anti villa
  8. Haha not really, there’s a reason Leeds are on sky more than other teams we pull the ratings. Not saying villa don’t, but your not the only big boys around
  9. The reason I say we’d have most of the possession as only in only one game this season we’ve had less possession than the opposition that was against sheff united at the start of December. I wish Leeds & sheff united finished in the top 2 with villa going up in the playoff so there the premier league has some old fashioned big clubs back in the league. Norwich are just Norwich don’t offer much
  10. I’m not trying to come across cocky, the teams that have caused us the most problems are teams like Birmingham who set up to defend drop back to the half way line, hope to nick one then sit back on it & hold on for dear life. Which is why I said on a 1 off I’d be worried over 2 legs you couldn’t sit back as we’d eventually get through. I wouldn’t go as far as being the best team in the league, you have the best form currently but at present Norwich are the best team with Leeds being the second best.
  11. For drama maybe so, for complete domination start to finish I’d be looking at West Brom at home.
  12. That wasn’t our best game, we’ve done that plenty of times this season. In fact if we could finish the chances we create we’d be champions already. Whilst you may be winning games now, i don’t think you’ve been playing better football than Leeds have. All year long. Over 2 legs I’d fancy us against anyone because over 2 legs teams won’t be able to keep us out. On a 1 off where teams sit back hoping to nick a win like sheff united did to us worries me. But if you come out to play we’ll exploit the gaps. Only West Brom at their place this season have i really felt we didn’t deserve anything from that game
  13. Kappa have been good suppliers for Leeds. They are nothing like macron who baring 1 away shirt were terrible for us. our kits have been really good, yes not great if you’re out of shape but very good bespoke designs which i’d rather have then template addidas & Nike etc. The only apparent problem that we had with kappa was they couldn’t keep up with demand & shirts were sold out for a while i the last 2 seasons We apparently will have a new supplier next season, so I’m hoping it’s someone that supply bespoke kits over templates
  14. Not been on the for a while but I have to say I agree with this.... for a long time myself & others were thinking we are Leeds, trust me thinking like that will only end up in disappointment. The longer you’re down here the more you’ll see the likes of Burnley coming in & taking your players & the line will be he couldn’t turn down premier league football & players will leave. Haven’t followed closely but I did post on here around Xmas about villa & FFP. My understanding was that you had really gone for broke the first 2 seasons, basically spending all the parachute money & this season you received much less this season, now if this is your third year in the ffp cycle, I would imagine you’ll have lost more than 39 million which would mean an embargo similar to the one sheff Wednesday have been going through, where by you can’t really buy big unless your just going to go for it, hope you’re promoted then worry about it later like Bournemouth did, but with your league position he would be massive gamble to take. If you don’t spend much by the end of the window, in my eyes that would tell me you’re preparing for have broken or be very close to ffp which probably means to buy players you’d have to sell to buy grealish obviously & maybe 1 or 2 more. Whether that all goes back into the team is different as I know your owners aren’t skint but them putting money in doesn’t prevent loses from the club. So I would imagine that getting your head round not having premier league names In your team will make it easier to take if you do go the way Leeds did.
  15. Not really more like we’ve had these sorts of worries hanging over us numerous times in the last 15 years so this has been discussed to death with Leeds previously so we have a little more informed view on how it works. Rather than thinking a rich owner solves everything. Your guys might very well have a plan But we’ll have to wait & see what it is come the summer.
  16. I know this article was written in the summer but the point mainly still stands. Basically your losses can’t be anymore than 39 million now matter what your owners have in the bank, if it’s above 39 million as it stands you’ll need extra income on your books before the deadline if not that would mean an embargo. http://priceoffootball.com/aston-villa-and-ffp/
  17. No the slate wouldn’t have been wiped clean because of a takeover, you still have have to keep your loses under a certain amount for a 3 year period, I believe this is your third year which would mean, you have to get your loses down possibly by selling grealish or just go for broke spend big & hope it gets you up. If it fails you’ll be in it big time no matter how rich your owners are
  18. I agree on paper our run has been against lesser fancied teams but to answer your question, yes we have played them before now & we had a really hard start to the season & blew most of the teams away stoke 3-1 derby 4-1 swansea 2-2 boro 0-0 norwhich 3-0 all before the end of August. We’re efficient now & aren’t soft & roll over. Teams set up differently now & drop to the half way line trying to stay compact making it difficult for us but we grind teams down & going to hard places like Bramall Lane & getting a solid 1-0 was the perfect away performance. Bolton on Saturday was made difficult because of the freezing weather & conditions but we came out with the win. Now you’re the home side & will come at us, which if we’re on it defensively like we have been, hopefully as you’re a team that is open & concedes a few we can take advantage.
  19. Which forum are you looking at I’ve never ever seen anyone refer to villa as vile. The biggest forum waccoe doesn’t even have a thread on villa. Also I think it’s pretty common knowledge that Leeds are labelled dirty Leeds or Leeds scum & fans of clubs up & down the country seem to dislike us for no apparent reason
  20. I do prefer us playing away as we have more space but it doesn’t change the fact that we’re breaking teams down at home even when teams are sitting in their own half from the kick off. But we kept getting the wins But if you & the rest are chasing us, coming for a draw isn’t really what you need which will be play into our hands.
  21. Not really, joined the other week just like seeing the view from the other side.
  22. You do have a nightmare feb/March though I wouldn’t fancy having that run of fixtures from the 9th feb to the 30th March you have sheff united home brentford away West Brom home Stoke away Derby home Birmingham away Forest away boro home blackburn home not mention your last 2 games are away at Leeds & home to Norwich. good thing is with Leeds once we get passed yourselves we’ve played most of the top 8 away barring Boro & the rest have to come to Elland Road. What I think you’ll find now teams, are noticing you’re in form, teams won’t come to win at Villa Park they’ll come not to lose. You may say we aren’t blowing teams away so must mean we’re going to drop off, that’s not the case. It’s more that teams come to nick a point as they know if they opened up we’d blow them away. I imagine you’ll face the same until the end of the season. I feel we play better away as teams are expected to come out at us & we have more space
  23. True but since the end of August we’ve been without the likes of ayling, beradi, bamford, Izzy brown, plus injuries to Roofe, Forshaw Douglas, Cooper, Janson for a number of games we’ve been playing with 17,18,19 year olds in the meantime. all players due back by January. So we could be come stronger come January
  24. Been out tonight so can’t comment on performance on either team but If you’d asked me what result I wanted it would have been a draw great chance on for Leeds to 6 clear of West Brom & 10 of Villa. it would be typical of Leeds not to win tomorrow but if we did & Bolton next up with yourselves playing stoke & Swansea not the easiest when on their day I they could turn up. I’m hoping we get maximum points. We do have a couple of hard games with forest & derby at the turn of the year & yourselves just before Xmas but hopefully we can afford to take a point or loss here & there by then. I wouldn’t fancy your February & March though we you having to play sheff united, Birmingham, boro, derby, stoke. & West Brom
  25. At the moment not too worried The midfield is chipping in with goals plus Roberts chipped in with 3 whilst roofe & bamford have been out. Roofe is also playing very well & is holding the ball up linking in with the midfield, thought he did a great job when he moved out wide yesterday also. The one thing I do hope that bamford brings when he returns is the height & presence in the box when it’s tight as most teams seems to want us to have out wide while they stay compact to stop us play neat 1/2’s on the edge of the box & scoring like that, & whilst roofe is good in the air, that extra physical presence & height to give defenders something extra to think about would be great. At times we try to score the perfect goal & doesn’t always come off but most Leeds fans feel that 1 day soon it’s igoing to click & we’re going to hammer a team as we dominate most teams on the ball & get into great positions. That’s not to say we can’t improve we need up our tempo & sharpness in passing at times when teams are hard to beat, which is where we’ve not at our best but as I’ve said we’ve got a number of first team players missing through injury but keep getting the results
