You get it all wrong. we play out from the back you always run the risk of a miss placed pass. As for flapping he’s stopping strikers getting their head on it. What do you expect him to do with strikers on top of him constantly.

My point is messlier was here last season as was costa. The original post stated we’d spent £85 million improving our team. When in reality the 2 players that didn’t play last season were Koch & raphinha & cost a total of £30million between them. The rest are the championship team from last season. 6 of that team yesterday came were playing in the team that came 15th in the championship before bielsa Now there’s been many posts on this thread before saying Leeds’ squad looks poor. Yet here we are Leeds outplaying the likes of Everton, arsenal, villa & plenty of other teams. that’s why Bielsa gets the attention he does.

& how many of those players played in either the arsenal or Everton games. 2 with another coming on 20 minutes as a sub.

What do you think championship sides did last season, yes of course there is more quality in the premier league to hurt us on the counter etc but you’re still running the risk of giving up possession to allow Leeds to keep going at you. Yes you might get the odd result like wolves but on average if teams set up that way they they aren’t going to keep them out all the time. Leeds will win more than they lose with teams setting up that way

The point is by playing the way Leeds do. You either play a low block basically giving up possession to Leeds then you basically have constant pressure against like the wolves first half. Yes on a few occasions Leeds may fail to score but the law of averages means Leeds will score more than the not. Then the oppositions game plan has to change. so you go toe to toe with Leeds & worry about Leeds doing what they did tonight or you sit off & basically Take the chance of play under pressure for the whole 90’s minutes. & id say Leeds aren’t going to come against a defence as good as wolves every week

I think what villa fans are missing is that on the night Liverpool were terrible at the back so the focus instantly went to how poor they were defending. Yes you battered them & very well played but it was also a night when everything went for you. 3 deflected goals, 3 key players missing, a keeper mistake. the praise Leeds got was because of a) we’re a newly promoted side that showed no fear, when for 2 years that’s all the teams in the league done when they’ve played them so it made everyone sit up & take notice b) we highlighted the areas of weakness in them before you played them so the shine is taken off your win because the weaknesses have been seen before The Leeds vs city game wasn’t praised for Leeds getting a draw it was praised for the way it was played. End to end you have a go we’ll have a go. Teams may better our results against them but it will be in a more cautious way which is the norm so it’s not different & therefore not as appealing. Great for villa no doubt but it’s not the game of basically basketball that people love to see. Villa should just shake off this inferiority complex “claiming if smith was Spanish etc” & gabby on talksport claiming no “Leeds copied villa“, well not really since we played them first mate. & instead just rack up the wins & you’ll be taken more seriously as you shoot up the league

I think this gets missed. It’s not necessarily the individual brilliance of players that makes Bielsa’s teams successful it’s that they are coached to the point where they no their job inside out & are fit enough to do it for 90 minutes. This is why he’d happily throw a youth team player in before a new signing has got up to speed because they know their job.

The draw is that he’s a renowned coach who improves players whilst playing top stuff. Anyone would be attracted to that knowing that he could be made into a top player & go further in his career. also whilst it may be classed as not successful it’s not as though he’s managed the top club in all counties he’s been at.

Why would they? Converted 2 loans from last season into permanents. Extended another loan for a year. Signed 3 young players that are unlikely to break in to the first team just yet. Signed a Koch to replace white & signed an additional striker in Rodrigo if we sign Di Paul he’s a 10 that we’ve never replaced since Saiz left. So that’s really only 3 players & 1 of the players in Koch was a necessity due to losing white. It’s not like we’ve ripped our team up like both you & Fulham did, that was the criticism that was levelled at Fulham, they just did away with the team that got them up. Leeds aren’t breaking the team up. Just adding here & there

Look the spirit of the game when long long ago, where’s the spirit of the game when grealish is asking for players to be booked, keeper lying on the floor not injured etc it’s a joke, so you can’t cry over stuff like that. I’m responding to people who have quoted me in their response. Which infers they are engaging in a conversation with me, I’ve been on here about 6 months & have looked for reasonable debate & had no issues & we’ve played yourselves today & there have controversial decisions, it is your board it’s not as I’ve been abusive just offering a different opinion to the majority of the board it’s still a valid one.
