  1. Great transfer window for you and now you are full up is it time to bring Said and Neil out of their safe house the bench will be interesting but looks a good mixture of talent.
  2. Was not meaning to sound obnoxious just stating facts like you have said about us we are well aware we are a “feeder club”to bigger clubs.
  3. Sadly you are correct our success has been signing potential from mainly abroad and lower league and our successes are lauded although we do have quite a few failures. We have a great scouting network in Europe which has produced the likes of Vibe Maupay Benrahma Dalsgaard ect in recent seasons. We don’t have an youth academy instead we have a B team that we blood mainly very young potential normally cast offs from PL or European clubs. These players have all had to be given time to reach their potential something other clubs don’t or can’t wait for.Maupay was pretty poor when he first arrived but Benrahma has been great from the off. Remember there is another step above you when the likes of Man City Liverpool ect come calling.
  4. Seen Jota at his best for us Benrahma is on a different level imho
  5. The old story was a 10 mill bid so unfortunately this seem like a fresh improved bid for this one trick pony
  6. Hearing Benrahma has had a set back on his latest injury not expected to play this season.Time for Villa to move on and look at other options
  7. Will be sorry to see him go but we need better if we want to improve on mid table finishes. He is in his last year of contract and we have already signed his replacement. Was a joy to watch most of the time last season but was part of our soft under belly problem.
  8. We know he’s going and out of the clubs being quoted as in for him Villa seem to be the most attractive for him.He wasn’t scouted by Dean Smith but once he signed he along with his coaching staff improved him greatly and he had a great relationship with him.
  9. Greedy, looks very likely now Maupay could well be on his way to you.
  10. Was thinking the same but hope he goes to a PL
  11. Hope so,will be a big challenge for him being 5’7” but he has a heart of a lion.Surprised Dean hasn’t signed him yet as he knows all about him and his undoubtably talent for scoring goals
  12. Seems very likely that Maupay is off now and it looks like Brighton or Villa being favourites.
  13. I tend to agree you have to be very special to be successful in the premier league at 5’7”
  14. Hogan had a better goal scoring record for us 21 in 33 Maupay 37 in 85 for us.Two very different type of players Maupay is a very aggressive player who considering his size is very strong on the ball and operates better around the 6. Yard box.I was surprised DS couldn’t get Hogan back on track when he joined you and think if he wanted Maupay he would have been in for him by now as he had a great relationship with him.It would be a big step up for him in the PL and maybe Dean has doubts.
  15. Now now,it’s not bad though we improve managers and players most of the time as you are aware of
  16. I think you are right on some of those points and yes we have been happy to have top half finishes however I believe this coming season we are going for it.We have signed 5 players all 6 ft plus and aggressive something we have been missing and we can hopefully keep either Maupay or Benrahma we could very well finish in the play offs.Konsa is a good signing for you and although I’m not happy to see him go the fact that we have signed Pinnock and Jansson makes us overall better off defensively.
  17. When you look at what’s being quoted for Maquire and even lewis Dunk yes it’s a bargain remember we couldn’t ask for more as it was in his release clause.Im happy as we have brought in 2 brutes in Pinnock and Jansson to firm up our soft under belly
  18. Would have thought that was obvious as he did have a big part in us signing him last summer
  19. Of course but I’m talking about his timing of when to attack the ball which is something he will improve he’s still very young and Dean Smith knows all about that side of the game
  20. Chief culprit was Bentley in goal not helped by Mepham and his expected move to Bournmouth Barbet and Jeanvier were in poor form so not ideal for a young central defender in his first season in the championship.we then went to 3 centre backs and this had a positive effect and we saw the best of Konsa. We have just signed 2 6’4” central defenders but sure Konsa would have been the 3 rd starter next season if he had stayed.
  21. Dean Smith obviously knows what he’s all about and I’m certain he will be a starter.
  22. Konsa is a great signing for you and good business for us and hopefully keeps Maupay and Benrahma at the club a bit longer.Konsa is class on the ball only negative is his arial play needs work but think he will improve in the PL
  23. Send me a Villa top down and I’ll take a photo for you,now piss off
  24. You are right there, most of the players we have sold over the last 4 seasons for big money have played under 50 games for us including Hogan Jota Gray Mepham ect.The attraction is as you say shop window and I would add in London we can show plenty of examples of players moving on to big clubs for high wages. Not great for us fans but it’s a price we have to pay for being able to compete in the championship.I hope we can keep hold of Maupay and Benrahma as we might just give it a go this season now we have strengthened our defence
  25. That’s what it is and there is over 100 pages of biters on Sheffield United forum they are now saying Villa are going to beat them to it.The truth is we haven’t up until midday today had any bids in for him and they think we are desperate to sell him as we have spent 12 mill on 3 players this last couple of weeks.Oh and yet another player coming in to be announced later this week from Spain.Dont want Neil to leave but if he does I hope he joins Villa
