Is it too early to go out now? Last time I drank down Aston before the September game last year it was hard to get a taxi to the ground. For the people that drank up Aston before the cup game did the police kick people out off the pubs and then escort them to the ground?

General, the "Ticket News" section on the official webpage needs to be updated. It details ticket information for the Man City v Villa game but not for the Wigan v Villa game which is a couple of weeks before. Also, I read on here that soon it will be possible to select an exact seat when booking tickets online. Do you know when this will go live?

Guys, if you are looking for a cheap train ticket get a London Midland ticket. Cost from New Street to Euston is £17.50 return. Although the journey is around 2 hours and 10 mins it is a lot cheaper than Virgin. I would give Chiltern trains a miss. They are doing a lot of work on the lines and to get back to Birmingham after the game could take around three hours.
