  1. Gtfo Bruce, utterly clueless We are falling to pieces, draining away week after week Take action now, waste more time and risk this club being in an unimaginably disastrous state!
  2. The only useful change we can make is getting Bruce and co out of our club. If this is "stability" you can shove it up your arse!
  3. We are dying, Bruce & his staff need to get out. Make the change before it's too late, no way can we risk relegation. One disaster after another...
  4. I never said we were Chelsea or anything like them, I was just reminded of Mourinho's appointment by the constant use of the word stability (he said it a lot at the time)... The relevance of that would be that sticking with a manager and being patient doesn't always work, often if a change isn't made then the decline continues. I have never personally said that Bruce is an incompetent manager (though he's certainly appearing like one now) and not been abusive or insulting about him. It's just clearly not working and it just isn't the right fit. Nothing suggests otherwise. I realise that the problems have run deeper than just the manager (in the past anyway) but we have uprooted, discarded and replaced a lot of shit this season so certain reasoning or excuses don't hold as much value now. Again, we just need to find the right managerial and coaching team that have a clear vision and the necessary conviction to at least improve us. I would certainly be willing to give time to someone who could get better, more encouraging performances out of the players and stick to a style and system that would at least get the odd result. At least the odd win for crying out loud!!! Constantly losing games, constantly being outplayed and utterly embarrassed is simply unacceptable - I don't know how anyone can put up with this for our club, this is Aston Villa. We need to get out of this mediocrity! How long do you want to wait? When we're in the bottom 3?! There are no guarantees but if you never take action or are too afraid of taking a risk, you inevitably fail... I'm getting quite tired of repeating myself, and repeating what others have written too, but again, there simply are no signs of things improving or turning around and there has been enough time to see whether that would happen. We haven't even come close to even looking like winning a game for ages now and the run of terrible performances, negative "tactics", lack of any consistent style or system etc. etc. is horrendous and just ongoing. You have to take action when things get so bad, not just sit back and allow it to get worse and endanger yourself... Nuff said (for now)
  5. Stability...hearing that just reminds me of Mourinho's return to Chelsea, it's the one word he kept repeating over and over again upon his appointment...look how that turned out...I don't think fans are too unhappy with Conte... Sometimes striving for success requires a certain degree of conviction & ruthlessness... Everyone would love "stability" but what does that actually mean, in a practical sense? I, and I'm sure many others, would love for there to be stability but in the sense that we produce consistent performances, have a consistent playing style & system and consistently get results. That's the kind of stability I would like and I would be more than happy for the right management team to be in place that would be worthy of the time to make a start on and produce that stability and have a long and stable tenure. A team that would at least provide some shred of encouragement and enthusiasm that has been missing for an age... The stability I do not want is, well, what's happening now really. The stability of this season has been consistently shit performances, consistently shit results and a consistent lack of a playing style & system. No thank you... We are all over the place and Bruce is lost, end it now before it gets even worse and give someone better suited a chance to turn things round otherwise it will be too late and if we end up having to bring in someone just to try & save us from relegation they won't have time to even do that! I don't see how anyone can, with any certainty, state or fully believe that performances and results will improve and that we will ever actually look like getting a win at this rate. The decline is alarming and it has just been a constant stream of low points, with the complete absence of any high points, under Bruce. End it now before it's too late, what a disaster...
  6. Honestly, I cannot fathom how people can realistically expect things to improve under Bruce - there is no indication of this and the longer we are waiting the more danger we are putting ourselves in, it is just getting worse and the embarrassment continues to increase. His record or history really doesn't mean anything right now because it is just not working, he doesn't know what do and is lost as is the team under his regime. His performance during his time here does not reflect on that record for whatever reason. Nothing against the guy but this hasn't worked out, he is not the right fit for our club. As unfortunate as that may appear, he just has to go before we could actually get RELEGATED!!! We are on a terrible decline and there is no sign of an end in sight, I cannot see where the next win is going to come from unless we make a change. We could actually go winless on to the end of the season, that can't be allowed to happen, not even risked...
  7. In the long term, a truly high quality manager would be most welcome but for now (if such an appointment isn't possible yet) a short term appointment would be worth a shot and I feel that there is a good chance that a few guys out there could do a much better job than Bruce has been doing. Someone like Rowett (who is available and well rated, seems a no nonsense type too) could give us the uplift and momentum we need to at least guarantee staying up - this rot needs halting because patience and sticking with Bruce is looking as though it will just result in relegation or a very low finish. Such an appointment may work out well, someone with determination and a point to prove would be interested & welcome and would find it difficult to resist due to the lure of managing such a prestigious club. If they do really well then they we will deserve to continue and would be rewarded. Things have gotten so bad now that a change absolutely has to be made, whether that's just someone who can get us a few results til the end of the season or a long term appointment. We are in a state and can't allow it to get worse without at least trying to reverse this alarming decline...
  8. Have to agree with this, I thought he would at least have been able to strengthen us defensively but it's really all gone to shit... Guess it proves just how bad for us this managerial appointment has been, it needs to end.
  9. I assumed he meant worst performance this season rather than "all time". It's just going from bad to worse anyway and action really needs to be taken...
  10. Appointing RDM probably wasn't very well thought out (and again, frustratingly so, he didn't have a ready made backroom team or overall plan to begin with) but the reason we appointed Bruce was so that he would potentially bring about an upturn in our fortunes and results, on the basis of his track record regarding promotions from this division. I don't know why he was appointed on a rolling contract, I can only speculate on that, but I am glad that was the case. If it was so that, if it didn't work out, we could easily part ways, then why hasn't he been sacked already I wonder? We have changed (drastically lowered) our objectives and ambitions during the course of this season due to poor results and the lack of any worthwhile performances. The plan just hasn't worked out unfortunately... Now, if we had stuck with RDM maybe we wouldn't be in this position and state? Maybe he would have made some decent signings in Jan to enhance us and give us the boost and upturn we needed? Who can say? What if Buce had been the manager rather than RDM at the time, and even RDM was appointed to replace him (rather than the other way around)? Or if we just appointed someone other than Bruce? I guess my point is, why/how can there be any backing for Bruce now? I don't think RDM had quite this level of support or request for patience did he? How can we accept our current & ongoing state and just say be patient without any sign or guarantee that it will change in a positive manner? We just have to try, again, to bring a proper management team. One of our biggest failures is the managerial appointments we have had over the years and the level of mediocrity (Lerner era) we got used to and chose to accept. I have the belief that the right appointment, the right management and right coaching team, can bring success to Villa. Who that is should be up to the so called "experts" or "football men" to identify and pursue, that's part of what they get paid for anyway.
  11. Needs to go NOW, it has gone beyond the point of being patient and waiting to see if results and performances would improve. There has been no sign or inkling of that at all, which would suggest disaster is looming unless he (and his pointless, completely ineffective coaching team) is removed. Again, if there had been any signs of improvement at all, any source of encouragement, any proof that he knows what he is doing and has any idea of what his preferred 11, preferred formation/system & preferred style of play (at least with this team) is then there would be an argument for sticking with him. Thats just not the case and it is just getting worse, embarrassment after embarrassment, so much so that the overriding feeling and atmosphere right now is that of continually increasing despair and frustration...
  12. Seriously, enough is enough. We can't take any more of this turgid, repetitive crap. He should not be allowed any more time to ruin us even more. It is all accelerating downhill and disaster is incoming if this continues. Nothing against the guy personally (no need for hate or abuse) but clearly this is not the right fit and this "relationship" needs to end before further damage is inflicted. You can say, "wrong man at the wrong time" or whatever if you wish, but this can't be allowed to go on any longer. He doesn't know what to do and keeps coming out with the same, tired old crap in his post match interviews. He is proving incapable of motivating and getting a performance out of these players and doing a good job for this club. All we can do is remove him and try again, no matter how frustrating or negative as that may sound to some. We cannot allow ourselves to be in danger of relegation, it's an absolute joke and a major embarrassment. How far we have fallen...it is utterly gut wrenching and sickening.... We need a new management team at the helm, not just a standaone manager who spends an age just grabbing the odd random coach from anywhere...
  13. Fans have been too good for this club for years now...it's beyond time that that loyalty and support should've been paid back...
  14. Don't blame you, hopefully that won't be for too long after this game...
  15. Utterly clueless excuse for a manager. We ideally need a proper management TEAM, not just a manager who then pisses about appointing random "coaches". Someone with an actual philosophy and belief in a style and system of playing actual FOOTBALL, with drive, energy and tactical nous (evidently, none of which Bruce and co possess) backed up by a team of coaches or asssitants that follow his lead - a proper leader who can get these players actually performing! Otherwise, a short term appointment of someone with some passion and a point to prove.
  16. Bruce should just walk now without having to be told...
  17. A change is needed right NOW! Forget about the summer, at this rate we will be relegated. Cannot see where a win is going to come from unless the whole management/coaching team is replaced right away!!!!
