Just keep wondering whether he will be played up front… to compete/rotate/support Ollie too… The lad can certainly finish and run on to through balls… as demonstrated in his Roma hat trick vs Bodo Glimt… Good record at Galatasaray too…

Seems likely but negotiations are apparently not finalised… Dunno if it’s actually relevant but the club has changed Duran’s shirt number and freed up Nico’s favoured number, apparently… Couple of “itks” have claimed it’s done… Just have to wait and see…

I have no concern… they have other options and priorities such as Lavia… If anyone wants our top players, they’re going to have to pay crazy amounts… Have read that there have been offers (think it was a Townley article) for some of our top players but they were rejected “out of hand”, immediately with no hesitation or consideration… We want to achieve big things… we do that by keeping our better players and adding to that group… I’d actually be very annoyed if any of our important players were even interested in leaving unless it was for an elite CL club (with a chance of winning it), especially with the trajectory we are on and the progress we are making under Unai…. It genuinely seems a happy camp and they are all being enlightened… we have major intent and ambition… the aim is to disrupt the established order… and I believe Unai can do just that…

I’m actually excited at the prospect of having a versatile and effective attacker who could possibly cover for Ollie… as well as support him… Nico could be the man for the job. Hat trick against Bodi Glimt was superb
