The silliest thing I've ever seen on any Internet forum was the reaction to Westwood after the Barnsley game. I've never defended him or even said he's even relatively a good player but that reaction was so insanely silly that everything people say in this thread is lost on me because of the pre-judged hatred and automatic blame out on Westwoods behalf no matter what he does.

It doesn't matter what manager we appoint now and in 20 years time, whilst Westwood is alive then Aston villa will always be a failure of a club.... .... And lots of other horrible things about Westwood.

Depending on who we bring in as manager... I firmly believe Cardiff have a great chance of finishing above us with the appointment of warnock.

I fear Wagner may need quite a bit of time to turn us around which is something we can't quite afford. He has done well this season with Huddersfield with his own players and all that jazz. We need a manager who can hit the ground running. I'm not sure Wagner is that man. I'm not sure any of the names mentioned are... Which is why I want a completely shock name turn up and blow us out our mind. Who that is I don't know, but I'm not happy with any candidate mentioned really.

I feel like this but I've maintained my love of football by throwing everything into my player/coach role at my local team. We win a few, we lose a few but at least we work our bollocks off to get there.
