    Regarding Axel, I'd take a few "ropey" games with him at centre half to develop a partnership with Chester if Bruce isn't bringing another one in, you're pretty much guaranteed a game changer from Jedinak every game anyway so what's the harm? Just goes back to Bruce preferring to not lose rather than win.

    I'd take Allerdyce, local to Villa so knows the clubs creed and let's not forget, bar some dodgy dealings (which I couldn't give to **** about) he was an international head coach with a very good record. Definitely an upgrade on Captain drawalot.

    In fairness, the benchmark of a good striker of Hogan's ilk is goals scored. I'm of the opinion if he plays in a two for more than one game running he will get goals for us, our current set up is not playing to his strengths so he may as well pick up a wage/ get game time elsewhere.

    The problem here is Teflons media darling status, it means bullshit rumours won't be started (see Mourinho) and thus the owners won't really get a guage of our ire, unless they happen to be into the ramblings of some nerds, sitting in their pants, covered in wotsit dust on a Villa message board. Bruce isn't going anywhere until they see the banners at VP and he fully loses the away boys and girls. He'll continue to blag his way through and his media friends will continue to print it.

    Is this thread for real? He's easily better than anything we've produced in the last 30 years and arguably better than anything we've signed in the last 20. If Jack played for <insert SKY 6 club> he'd be an international regular and thus satisfy your moot point. Yorke, Laursen, Mellberg and Bosnich all played for tin pot national teams though, I don't get what your point is.
