It makes sense for all parties.

Ings is an aging back up striker, on big wages and with limited time left to get money for him.

Ings gets to start every game at a new club.

A team worried about relegation get a guy who can save them.

And a team pushing for a top half finish, and at a push a European place, left with a striker whose finishing is not his strong point, and a raw and untested teenage from the MLS as their only forward options. It doesn’t make sense for Villa unless we have a guaranteed replacement incoming. I also don’t care if it makes sense for West Ham or Ings himself.

  2. Unless there’s a sure-fire replacement lined up, who’s ready to go straight into the first team, it would be absolute madness to sell Ings. We’d be an injury to Watkins away from a crisis, similar to the one where we had to play AEG up front.

Lifetime ban big fine and a prison sentence to set a example of this scum

I can’t stand Ramsdale either but that’s a bit harsh, he was only collecting his water bottle.

I hear you. It's hard to let go. On a side note, it is my singular goal on Villatalk life to overshare. I love that word. I love oversharers, as long as they let me overshare, too. If you would ever life to hear about my feelings about my long-lost pet hamster, Binky, I stand prepared to unload, just so you know.

The Leeds goal was why he never made it here and won’t. There’s no conspiracy. There’s nobody not wanting to give a him a chance. He’s not even close to the most persecuted player ( subjective opinion to who that is ) to play for this club. Sanson isn’t that good. Stop looking for something that ain’t there and move on folks.

Harsh. He bust a gut to get back to cover Young in that situation, but momentum, plus the physicality of Gnonto has made it difficult for him there. That goal’s more on Young (who otherwise had an outstanding game) than it is on Sanson.

  6. Thought they played well tonight and were unlucky to come away with nothing. Their intensity, fitness and pressing made life difficult for us. If they play like that week in, week out, they’ll have no problems.

I actually don’t mind Marsch, he’s passionate and animated but he says it like it is.

Leeds are still absolute spunktrumpets though.

  7. That was about as tough a first game as it gets for a player who’s not used to the intensity,, speed and physicality of the Premier League. And one who’s barely met his team mates. Acquitted himself well and showed signs that he’s going to be an excellent signing.
