While thats true you can still understand why a director of a team that consistently qualify for Europe would be miffed to lose a player, any team can float a project but you have to back it up on the pitch
Its just a comment for the fans, its like some people getting angry that Targett made a throwaway comment about the Newcastle dressing room.
A lot of sensitive people who are looking to get angry at opposition clubs, way too much Leeds influence on here in recent seasons
Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand it - and it’s natural that he is looking to appease his fans. Looking at it from anything other than a Villa perspective, you can see why eyebrows would be raised.

There’s a bit more to it than who’s going to qualify for Europe - the answer to that one is obvious.
Money is obviously a huge factor, but the project that the club is selling to players can’t be overlooked. Prospective players couldn’t help but be impressed with signings of the likes of Coutinho and Kamara.
We may have finished 14th last season but given what we are trying to build we’ve got to be an attractive proposition to players. More attractive than a number of the teams who finished above us last season.

Trying to make a point about their fans being Brummies. So the first picture they put in the tweet is Solihull, West Midlands.
Retards.

Not ITK. But have it on good authority we want 5 more signings. No idea on who or positions etc.
Is that just a hunch quazzie?

He was a good signing, solid player for us most of the time, and wish him the best. Seems like a nice lad. We’ve got a better LB now, but all in all I think he’ll be remembered well at VP
I agree. I don’t buy into this talk of him being a bottler and not being able to play in front of crowds. He managed that perfectly well in a high pressure situation at Newcastle. At his age he needs to be playing regular first team football, and he wasn’t going to get that here.
As much as I wish him well on a personal level, I can’t say I feel the same about Newcastle. And I can’t help but hope he “has a Watford” for them early on next season.

Judging by the reaction of the kid in the third picture, I think he FaceTimed Dele Alli too.

Where do you sit? I have a guy behind me that just swears at every one of our players every game. When I sit anywhere else I kind of miss him.
I think he might be on this forum.

None I'd imagine. Unless it's a precursor to them going bump.
Probably means they won't be renewing the contract when it expires though.
They seem to be significantly expanding on the football shirt sponsorship front - they’ll be sponsoring Lille, Marseille, Real Sociedad and Valencia too next season.

We've moved on from him. We're in a different situation so have different targets.
Different targets as in bigger / better or younger, or centre back no longer such a priority since you signed Dan Burn (who to be fair had done a very good job since he came in)? Surely Carlos wasn’t seen as a stop gap for the remainder of last season?

Saying that he doesn't look remotely fit. He had the ball and opened his legs for a sprint end of the half and he didn't really have the acceleration or the legs. Looked very tired and I'm not sure now if he's even training and nursing an injury still.

I was reading on the Burnley forum about the poor behaviour in general of the Geordie fans at the game yesterday, and specifically how they took great delight in taunting the home fans on their relegation.
Seems these spunk trumpets can dish it out but can’t take it.

Looking forward to seeing this New Street fella in action. I’m assuming he’s another local Brummie lad.

Sounded absolutely dead on TV. How did it feel in the ground?
It was flat as a witch’s tits to be honest. To be fair, we had nothing to play for and it was one of Burnley’s biggest games of the season.
Much as I dislike Leeds and want them relegated, at least games against them have an edge, and fire the crowd up.

The love-in for Keinan Davis over on the Forest forum is heart-warming. They think he’s superb.
Changed the dynamic of the game last night at a time when Forest were on the ropes.
Hugely pleased for the big man.
