  1. Prigozhyn has gone on another rant. Highlights include - - 10,000 convicts and 10,000 Wagner died in Bakhmut. - Putin has made Ukraine more respected than ever. Putin has raised them up to the level of the Greek Warriors at their most powerful. - The Ukrainian Army now has 10 times the military power than before the war. Russia has lost about half of its military power. - He warned Putin on March that Belgorod would be attacked. The whole border area is a thin line of defence with nothing left to defend breakthroughs. I get the feeling that he will soon be falling from a window or cutting a deal with Ukraine to get out of Russia.
  2. Putin's strategy is starting to crumble. He's been telling the public that they are fighting NATO but everything is going well. Its now obvious to everyone that things aren't going well. The public is asking why their well organised and equipped army aren't retaliating against the inept and divided NATO? Especially as Putin has been threatening this since the early days of the war. One of Gorbachev's greatest achievements was that he avoided a civil war when the USSR died. Putin may not be so lucky.
  3. Worth a quick read. Russia is exporting more gas and oil than ever. But thr revenue from it has halved. "Russia admits problems...." https://www.ft.com/content/c99fc8e9-35d5-42c6-9361-5012d5dec581
  4. Russia has a problem with their missiles. The US knows where they are and when they will be fired. The infamous leaked US document did say that the US had infiltrated the Russia Army so well that orders issued to the front line were received in the Pentagon BEFORE they reached the front line.
  5. Why don't whoopee cushions have a small pocket to insert stink bombs?
  6. It can deliver a message of surrender from Paris to anywhere on earth in 3 minutes.
  7. Ukraine is now shooting down unstoppable missiles. How many more XP do they need until they can unlock F16?
  8. The Washington Post is now reporting that Prigozhin offered to give away Russia troop positions in return for Bakhmut.
  9. This guy is a Finish military reserve. He is also well connected with Russian sources. His stuff is normally reliable.
  10. It was a humourous comment on the complexity of the message rather than questioning you knowledge. I know that you know your stuff.
  11. That's easy for you to say. I know nothing about the topic and don't know my HARMs from my ELBOWs.
  12. Russian news sources and supporters are in chaos. Prigozhin openly criticised the Russia Army. This is a criminal offence and many are calling for his imprisonment. Prigozhin has appealed for more ammunition saying that his forces are having to expend more than expected in order to prevent the Russian Army retreating. That's not a typing mistake. They are having to shell positions behind the Russian Army. Wagner is also suspected of accepting army deserters into their own ranks rather than sending them back to the Army, Many think Prigozhin has realised that he's the scape goat and he now has nothing to lose. Many say he's actually striking a deal with Ukraine/NATO to get himself out of there. Many say the army would rather join him to fight Putin than carry on the fight in Ukraine. Meanwhile the Russian public is split. 40% think Wagner is to blame. 40% think the Army is to blame. Prigozhin has confirmed that Russia shot down 5 of its own aircraft yesterday. But my favourite comment for today is that the best way to defeat British Storm Shadow Missiles is to stop them being produced by nuking Bolton. I am not sure if they are produced in Bolton.....but its got to be worth a couple of nukes anyway.
  13. I guess the ex-Polish MIGS may have been converted to some NATO weapons as part of Poland's integration into NATO. I doubt we have given them Storm Shadow cruise missiles to be fired from the back of a truck. I guess the Brits and the Poles have developed a workaround. I was reading that Storm Shadow hits its target 97% of the time, even against targets defended by air defences. So.......what's going first? The Crimea Bridge or the Black Sea Fleet?
  14. To be fair it's not installed ON the wall. It's in a different postcode.
  15. An interesting theory is emerging about today's sudden increase in crashed Russian planes. Someone has supplied Ukraine with missiles that actively seek out radar signals. AAMRAMS. These things just lock onto radar signals and follow them to the source. Russia hasn't experienced these in Ukraine and they have been flying around with active radars. Possible. It's more plausible than accidentally shooting down 4 (now rumoured 5) of your own planes/helicopters in one day.
  16. If its not fixed in securely you could replace it with a thicker piece of wood cut thicker at one end. If you don't want the hassle of changing the piece of timber, slide in a thin piece of wood that's not quite as big as the gap. Secure it with a touch of wood glue. Then use wood filler for the last few mm.
  17. I normally have no problem screwing after getting wood. The size is not important. Just take it slowly and make sure you use a well oiled tool.
  18. Working from just memory: The storming of the Capitol Building by Trump Supporters. A significant number of industrial disputes including the miners strike. Various animal rights protests that targeted people.
  19. You are (of course) right. But the key point in my post was “blocking the road WITHOUT GIVING NOTICE”. The Ambulance Service know about rugby matches and marathons well in advance. This gives them time to mitigate. Protesters just closing a road is a different matter.
  20. I do not condone the Police’s actions at the Coronation in any way. Free speech needs to be defended. The right to protest needs to be defended. But when protests inconvenience others it becomes a much more difficult topic. Some people shouting things at the Coronation is acceptable. But would anyone support protesters blocking the road outside an Ambulance Depot or Fire Station without giving any notice? What about blocking the road near a local A&E? Or blocking the road at a motorway junction nearest an A&E? There is a line in the sand and some protesters feel that their cause is so important that it justifies others coming to harm. Everyone draws their own line.
  21. Hamble didn't even get an invite. She was always 2nd best to the rest of the toys.
  22. My area is traditionally Conservative or Liberal Dem. Tories are now 3rd behind Labour and the Greens! The Greens only have 1 seat less than the Tories and Lib Dem’s combined.
  23. Absolutely amazing. Civil war seems a distinct possibility.
  24. WARNING- The embedded video shows dead bodies. This is a simply amazing video. Prizohin openly shows 1 days casualties and openly criticises the Russian military.
