  1. He's not been found guilty of being a racist. He's been found guilty of using racist language. Which he's admitted doing. Is there really anything more to it than that that needs to be disclosed? It comes down to whether when Suarez said the word "Negrito" to Evra did he do so did he realise how bad a word it is to use and I don't think he did. I think he thought it was no worse than calling someone Ginger. And to the person who said he's been found guilty therefore he is. Who was he found guilty by and why did they find him guilty? Thats what we are waiting to find out. Two of the people on the panel have strong links to Fergie and all the Suarez haters just seem to think that thats irrelevant somehow. Suarez is guilty because people hate him and want him to be guilty. He was never going to get a fair hairin from the panel or from the general public and thats why he'll take the FA or Evra or both through the courts himself and he'll win because the evidence used by the FA won't stand up in a court of law and everyon knows it. The FA will shit one if their threatened with legal action and when they are, and when Suarez appeals I fully expect his ban to be reduced to 5 games to appease him and the club and to put an end to the matter. If the FA ever bother to release their findings and their evidence and they show they have incontravertible audio/visual evidence then I will be first to hold my hand up and want him gone but we all know that isn't going to happen. Why do you think a routine, 24 hour task (usually) is being stretched out till Feb? Doe's that not seem a little strange or dubious to anyone?
  2. There is one major floor with that article that renders it completely invalid. Heskey played 20 games more than Suarez so that has a knock on effect in a positive way to all Heskeys stats. The comparison would have to be over the same number of games and it would have to look at opposition, competition played etc In Heskeys first year we played a shit load of UEFA Cup games against Latvian part timers which obviously gave him a boost stats wise. However, it must be said the first season and a half Heskey played for us he was absolutely immense. He scored for fun and all types of skillful lobs and perfect finishes. He dominated in the air, he read the gme brilliantly he set up a lot etc etc. One of the best starts to an LFC career I've ever seen. He was first choice striker and it was Owen and Fowler who had to fight to partner him. That alone is some achievement.
  3. John Henry is a billionaire as well. I'm not sure he is even a dollar billionaire. I'm fairly certain he's worth less than Randy, though. If Liverpool don't make Champions League next year I think they will soon enough embark on similar restructuring to ourselves - Luis Suarez leaving for a big Italian or Spanish club for starters. Bent out Carroll in (as a permanent signing) would be an interesting piece of business that I would consider. There is not an OUNCE of truth in any of that whatsoever. Henry is only one of several Billionaire owners and companies that make up FSG that own us and the Red Sox. Their hugely successful and profitable and have other rich minority shareholders on board like LeBron James who also throw some money in the bucket. This link makes it very clear who has more money between our lot and Lerner as well as all other owners: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_football_club_owners Listen, you hate us, I get it, but lets avoid wishful thinking and outright lies.
  4. Liverpool are loaded, they have over a dozen shareholders who all have plenty of capital. Were looking at spending another £20-30m this window (already going round that Ramirez will be signed for £20m) if we can get our targets on top of the £110m we already spent. There is as much money as needed within reason. The only reason top 4 is important this season is so we can attract the calibre of player we need rather than havin to buy shite like Carroll, Adam and Downing. I see this idea on here a lot that our owners aren't 'rich' and its just a lie.
  5. Absolutely. Remember that Liverpool FC are a club who suspended their reserve goalkeeper for 14 days for having the gall to smile at the Hillsborough memorial service in 2009. They arent suspending Suarez over his (much worse) behaviour despite him being found guilty by a third party with no axe to grind either way. If Suarez were just a squad player rather than the guy who is the first name on their team sheet then Liverpool would not be acting in the childish way they are. This isnt about them supporting Suarez's cause, it is about them badly needing him in the team and trying to flex their muscles to get the Premier League to back down. They probably didnt anticipate the backlash they are currently getting though. If you think we give a **** about what anybody thinks about us or Suarez or how much of a 'backlash' there is you are very much mistaken. We stand by Suarez because we don't believe he is guilty and we don't believe he is a racist. If I defend someone who has been found guilty of murder who I believe is innocent and been wrongly accused and convicted doe's that mean then that I support murder? I am waiting for the official written report from the FA where they will finally disclose what evidence made them arrive at a guilty verdict. This report was meant to be with us 24hrs after the verdict being announced and we have now been told it may not arrive until February. How convienient that is. I would suggest everyone, LFC fans and people who hate us and Suarez wait until the written report is released before coming to any final conclusions on Suarez's guilt.
  6. Regarding Carroll we are willing to get rid of him becuase of, shall we say, "off the field" issues so LFC are DEFO willing to get rid of him.
  7. Oh, don't know if related but heard from another person who is very well known and respected that Carroll is available for transfer and possibly loan if we get in a replacement.
  8. Liverpool have definitely enquired and Bent would be open to talking. Long way from happening though. From the same person I got all the Downing info from so I know it has legs. I'm **** gutted. As shit as we've been, spending another £20m on another player who isn't good enough is NOT the answer. We can forget getting back in the top 4 anytime soon with the people we have in charge and taking the important decisions.
  9. young and milner at least showed a modicum of respect towards villa, and they owed us less than downing did, sitting on a pretty new pay package for months while we rehabilitated him and put him in the shop window. both milner and young loved it here, milner puts in more effort than any other player in the league, and young never shirked tackling responsibilities and he was never scared to put his body on the line to win the ball. downing however had one pretty good season but was always susceptible to bottling his defensive duties, and at times when the players really needed to pick their bollocks up and fight for a result. quite talented, but his effort was never for the sake of the villa, something which i saw in young and milner almost every match. that is why i think people give ash and jim a free pass. The others get a "free pass" because they didn't leave for big bad Liverpool. Thats the truth of the matter for a large portion of Villa supporters. Why doe's that never get said?
  10. Told Liverpool are interested but I'm only thinking its a rumour so far as I can't for the person who told. Were defo spending big for a Striker in Jan though I know that much.
  11. Now Lucas is out for the season by confidence of us coming top 4 has been greatly dented. If we buy an excellent replacement in Jan like M'vila or Moussa Sissoko then we might have a chance. We must also buy a right winger (were we are particulalrly weak) and top finisher/striker. We have plenty of money to spend so I expect us to this but to be honest I don't have complete confidence in Dalglish to spend it wisely. Downing still flatters to deceive although Henderson has been getting better with each game he plays in centre mid. He particulalry played well against City and Chelsea in the Carling Cup. Weve been on a decent run of late and haven't been beat in quite a while but our problem is all the draws particulary at home, although we were really unlucky to draw against the two Manc clubs and really should of won both. The chances were there but threw away. If we play the way we played against City and Chavs we'll win against most of the so called smaller teams and if we can buy someone who will convert all the chances we create we will do much better. If we don't come 4th this season the main reason will be us not taking our chances. We have created ridiculous amounts of clear cut goalscoing chances then proceded to royally **** them up. The main culprit for this has been Suarez (although he is playing well in other ways) who has a poor attempts to goals ratio. We have been good in defence, especially since Carragher has been axed, but if Agger gets one of his usual injuries this could all change. Overall, Dalglish is finally getting the team to play the passing game he wants and we are playing much better in the last 4 or 5 games or so. Fourth is still very much on but it will depend on the business we do in January, how we play against the lesser teams, no more injuries to key players and whether Spurs and Arsenal can keep their excellent runs going. My prediction at the moment is 5th. We still need to add a few more top quality players to takeover Arsenal and Spurs. P.S I have had some info off the person who gave me the Downing info to say that, unfortunately, Bent is being considered for theforward player we need but a "player in Spain as yet unknown" is our top target.
  12. Were starting to look a much better team now and 4th is defo back on the agenda. Suarez is immense and hell of a player and I love the fact that everyone else hates him. Thats usually a good sign. Like Ronaldo when he was at the mancs. Everyone hated him for being a cheating greasy cock but he was a hell of a player, and that was probably why he got a lot of the stick he did. I'm not convinced by Dalglish at all although he is doing a satisfactory job so far. I just feel some of his baffling decisions have cost us points this season and we could of been a lot closer the top and 4th if he had made more sensible decisions. His insistence to stick with Downing and Henderson when they have been garbage on the whole was particulalrly frustrating. His team sheets are mind-boggling sometimes as well and his substitutions (when he actually makes any! Again he only used 1 sub today and waited until 80 mins??). I just wonder whether he has the tactical acumen for the 21st century premier league sometimes and wonder how much tactically etc is actually done by steve clarke and kevin keene. Still very much in the hunt for 4th which is of vital importance for us to attract more income and a higher caliber of player which we need to play around Suarez as he is out on his own at the moment and if he was to get injured I'd be very worried. VERY disappointed with Downing so far. For the best part of £20m he has offered very little. He constantly gives the ball away and has got nowhere near enough crosses into the box often playing the ball back inside instead of whipping it in. When he has crossed it in they have often been poor. It doesn't help that he keeps getting put on the right like I suppose do. Overall happy so far but could be so much better.
  13. Some of the points in this thraed are utter rubbish. First of all Skrtel is injured and won't be playing but Agger is our first choice CB anyway so don't know why people are going on about Skrtel for. Agger is a **** class CB. Not only can he defend excellently but he is so good on the ball, can link up the play and had a beast of a left foot that is always a goal threat. If he could bloody stay fit for a decent length of time he'd be one of the best in Europe. Even with his injury problems we've had both Milan clubs trying to steal him this year and last year so he must be doing something right. Downing, to by amazement and annoyance as I was very anti him signing, has thoroughly impressed every time he's been on the field in pre-season. He was MOM against Valencia last week. Carroll is starting to get into the swing of things now. He looks his old self and is finally fit and over his bad knee injury. He's scored a few good goals in pre-season, been a hige aerial threat (especially from set pieces) and has looked incredibly hungry and up for it. Henderson on the other hand is an early concern for me. He had a few good passes against Hull but besides that has struggled. Was not at all at the races against Valencia last week. This signing is my big concern as for £16m I would be expecting a player who could go straight into the first team. And for people questioning Suarez? Really? He's come back from the Copa so fit it looks like he'll play some part against Sunderland today. He's the duracel bunnylike Kuyt. They just don't get tired. Also, doubting his ability? This is the player who just easily won best player of the Copa Americas up against the likes of Messi and Higuain and all the other class players from Argentina and Brazil. Also, did you see his first six months? 4 goals and nearly double assists. Go and watch what he did against Utds defence at Anfield when he'd hardly been here that long. He's going to be some player. I know you hate Liverpool but don't let that cloud your judgement about Suarez because it just makes you look silly. There is absolutely NO evidence so far to suggest he is not going to be a success in the Premier League. Overall, I thinking it's going to be a long hard season. I'm not a blind faith follower of 'King' Kenny at all and to be honest after the end of last season I have my concerns of his tactical ability. I think its going to come down a lot more to how well Steve Clarke and Kevin Kean do to be honest. If everyone stays fit, Gerrard comes back raring to go after his infection, team spirit stays high and we buy a new CB before the end of the window which is looking increasingly likely, I think we can just nip 4th. We have a better squad than Tottenham, especially if they don't strengthen as its looking they wont, and Arsenal are imploding from the inside out. Their fan base is extremely unsettled and Wenger seems to be in the middle of a breakdown and doesn't seem to be as commanding a Manager as he used to be. They got in the top 4 last because of us and Spurs being utter shit moreso than their own performance. Their going to sell Fabregas and are not replacing him with Mata or anyone by what Wengers saying and Scott Dann is hardly going to answer all their defensive problems. It will depend on Arsenal asmuch as us but 4th is definitely achievable so long as their are no major setbacks or anything along the way.
  14. Check out a lad called Suso who's just been promoted to Liverpool reserves. Spanish and looks a genuine talent. Similar role to Mata.there's a few good clips of him on YouTube.
  15. If Everton can raise a few quid packing bags at Tesco then N'Zog will go there. Everton is his preferred destination as he doesn't have to move out the area then. Not heard anything this is just what all the credible Bluenoses are saying up here in Liverpool. They are not going to find the money though, so they are not going to sign him.
  16. Think Wigan leave on Saturday for their trip. Just asked a couple of the local pie eaters. Their not 100% certain though as none of them are going.
  17. Been given some info so thought I would share. Comes from a Wigan fan in our pub in Orrell who has had stuff before but usually around team selection and injuries though I am told so dunno for sure how trustworthy he is. Told me N'zogbia isn't sold on Villa and is questioning ambition of club, thinks its to do with transfer or lack of at Villa. Reckons his agent is prolonging things too waiting for other teams to get involved which also suits Wigan. Reckons its 50/50 now but thought it was a dead cert when LFC signed Downing. Make of it what you will. I can't vouch for this guy like my other source who gave me all the top Downing stuff so probs best to take with a pinch of salt atm. If I hear anything else I'll pass it on but I won't see this lad again until at least the weekend.
  18. The fee is not, have never been, nor ever will be more than £20m. It is categorically £18.5m +1.5m in add ons and thats straight from Downings camp and TrentVilla can back up info on this as he knows everything I know. Everything we were told would happened, happened. There's a lot more to it. So can we please stop listening to idiots on Twitter who want to make themselves feel better by making out the fee was larger than it was. Jesus.
  19. The Bluenoses haven't got a pot to piss in so can't see them being in for N'Zogbia. There so skint Liverpool are considering bidding for Baines because their that desperate for money we think we could actually do a deal with them whereas usually we wouldn't even bother. If were confident of getting Baines they must be absolutely skint. Nowt to worry about here.
  20. So much for SSN and the 'second medical'. They really are useless aren't they. All the Downing stuff was completed yesterday and were waiting to see if Dalglish could get back.
  21. I'd say these are the LFC players who would be available for loan: - Aqualani Spearing Poulsen Flanaghan Robinson Cole Kyriagkos Pacheco
  22. The only worry for Villa fans here is that he seems to have a bit of an attachment to the North-East but besides this if he makes the decision on footballing reasons he will choose you. I'd be really surprised if he doesn't end up a Villa player.
  23. There's 2 people on Tiwtter who have Football Agent in their handle. One of them has proved to be quite on the ball. If the one quoted above is the one that knows his stuff and Sunderland have made a late bid then that backs up everything I've been told, so its starting to look like Sunderland are the reason this hasn't been done yet. I still think you will sign him them.
  24. I can guarantee everyone the fee was £20m (£18.5 up to £20m add-ons). Knowing where our info came from I would put my house on that being the price.
