Maybe controversial and I know we're trying really hard to be very sensible but I'd give Jack £150k pw, even £200k a week. Why not? Our wage budget is tiny, we should be paying our stars what they deserve if we want to try and stop bigger clubs poaching them. I'm not saying do that with everyone but I don't think many would feel begrudged if Jack was on 1£150k pw, they'd just be happy he's there.

Don't get me started on Leeds, I don't understand why they think they are the biggest club in the world. Speak to any Leeds fan and they say bigger than Villa. I do question why they think this, is it: 1. Because they have won less major trophies than West Brom 2. Because they have a stadium that holds less than 38k 3. They are a one club city so yes they do have a big fan base, like Newcastle (but then so do we) 4. Have spent more time out of the top flight, than in it 5. They have championship facilities from being under funded the last 20 years I honestly can't work it out personally. The club is held together by Bielsa, who is an unbelievable manager, but they're a temper tantrum (he's walked in the past) from them being absolutely screwed again. I wouldn't take one player from their Starting XI over ours, their squad is so weak.

Think this is likely true. Rashica waiting on Leipzig for an answer. Now Leipzig seem out the running guess his options are stay at Bremen and hope a bigger move or come to us. Ah okay, I misunderstood your point. I thought you were saying he's not good because anyone could score 20+ goals in Scotland. I'm the same as you in that i'm not saying that means he's a good player, but I've watched him quite a bit and spoken to Celtic fans who say he's the best striker they've had since Larsson. He's absolutely quality and unfortunately probably out of our reach at this moment in time.

Otherwise championship players would be actively seeking moves to the Scottish league so they can score 20+ goals every season and be sold to the premier league for £30mill+... Arsenal have been monitoring him for a while and Leicester seem interested also, even though Celtic want £40mill. They may as well get Scott Hogan as we'd give him away for free.

Yes but when they get those replacements in, they are at the mercy of the buyer, because I would assume they would then "need" to sell. The longer the window goes on the cheaper the players get. I don't think anyone will pay the quoted £25m for Watkins and £30m for Benrahma. It would just be madness. Especially when you can get better more proven players for cheaper i.e. Rashica

I don't think Hertha would want a big fee considering he plays for Liverpool but at the same time your point is valid because Liverpool are the experts of getting big fees for players with even less experience. Ibe, Solanke etc.
