  1. That's a question for you not me, see i believe you can question a manager without wanting them sacked but people like you can't comprehend that.
  2. I agree i believe there is a lot to question Smith on but the keeper is not one of them.
  3. I love the I don't mind Smith being questioned then in the next sentence basically says don't question Smith posts. They always make me giggle, My car has just cost me a fortune at its MOT so @Vive_La_Villa I thank you for cheering me up lol
  4. what is it now 9 assists and 6 goals, yeah he is really crap isn't he. However I do agree with you regarding Whelan.
  5. I bet the people who cheered him off Vs West Brom feel embarrassed today and so they should as what we saw today is what Hourihane is a good player. He isn't a defensive player you just have to look at him to see that and to play him in a defensive roll is madness.
  6. Monk is playing with someone elses squad, he's signed what 2 players?
  7. I know people keep going on about how Smith improved Brentford despite facts saying they finished 5th before him then he took charge then it was 9th then 10th.
  8. Not that admirable when you take into account when he got the job Brentford had just finished 5th.
  9. Now I'm confused how do you get promoted without requiring results to gain promotion? Because the last time i checked you can't gain promotion without winning games
  10. Not at any point have I said I wanted Smith sacked. I'll question Smith when their is reason to question him and I believe only winning 1 game in 15 worthy of him being questioned.
  11. Wigan, Preston, Reading, Sheffied United 82 mins, Swansea FA Cup, QPR x 2,, Hull City, Brentford, West Brom (home), Ipswich (i include that because even though we won if they had been slightly better we wouldn't have won.) so out of 23 games 10 1/2 (i'm counting Ipswich as half) have been truly awful, Boro and Derby were great West Brom also good, Blues was lucky they hit the post instead of scoring the 2nd, Leeds Smith should have shut the game down but kept piling attacking players on despite that being the stupid thing to do so out of 23 games 3 have been great, 1 tactical stupidity, 1 lucky and the rest ranging from average to horrendous. Hardly a glowing reference to say he's the guy to get us to where we need / want to be.
  12. you mean the 2 or 3 games where we've played that attacking play?? that doesn't sound that great once you take into account he's been in charge for 23 games, So thats 3 games awesome and 20 games either crap or the worst I've ever seen. I hope he comes good but his managerial Honours so far are: Football League Trophy Runner up and 1 League 1 manager of the month. He may come good as all the good managers have to get their 1st promotion at some point but the problem with having a managerial record like Smiths is he has to show he can do it pretty much from day 1 as Smith doesn't have the luxury of a past history of being able to achieve where we want to go to fall back on and like it or not a manager with that record will be given more time than someone who hasn't.
  13. Reliance on Kodjia to get us points, you mean just like we are doing with Grealish under Smith? You'll say Derby, and Boro prove Smith will get it right nut i give you Wigan, Preston (who were playing youth team players against us), Reading, QPR x2, Sheffield United (except for a surprise 15 mins) , Hull City and even the 1 win in this terrible run Vs Ipswich was extremely unconvincing and could have easily been a loss or draw. What does that prove? so far there is more evidence he won't get it right then there is that he will get it right.
  14. Well if you ignore the results and performances since that short spell then no it wasn't the exception. But if you come back to the real world then it seems it was the exception and quite frankly if Smith is so rocked by 1 key player getting injured then that isn't a good defence either because through a season you're going to get injuries and if this is how Smith reacts to 1 injury then that is a Huge concern.
  15. it's crazy isn't it, some people go on and on about how in the summer he'll get his players in like he did at Brentford but they strangely forget to mention that all Brentford have ever done is finish mid table.
  16. What i find bizarre is that if you watch any of the vlogs of the opposition fans when playing us they say we have a good squad, the Sheffield United one i watched said he'd be happy with a draw because of the quality in the squad. It seems strange how backwards things are surely it should be the Sheffield United fans saying our squad is poor and we should be saying we are great. But that won't happen because the people that are saying we have a terrible squad are the ones that love Smith and refuse to criticise him. The other strange thing is these same people were the ones saying this is a good squad when Bruce was in charge and using it as a stick to beat him with, then in Smiths honeymoon period was telling anyone who listened that was the reason why they didn't like Bruce because he couldn't use the good squad we have.
  17. so it's happened once, hardly a regular thing is it, it's like the Alex Ferguson was nearly sacked early in his career as a reason to keep a manager and the latest De Gea started his career at Man Utd badly so give Nyland time.
  18. Kallinic was great but they should have had 2 pens, in the 1st half we spent something like 1 minutes in their half of the pitch. it was a miracle we we kept it 0:0 for so long.
  19. Like who, Even i can trap a football and i make Alan Hutton look like Lionel Messi.
  20. Draw would have been a fair result? What game was you watching because it certainly wasn't the same one as me.
  21. But when he played in his natural position against Wigan he was even worse.
  22. It can he can regress back to what he was like Vs Wigan. last night he was terrible but it was still a HUGE improvement on his debut. Luckily he had problems with his medical so we can just send him back instead of getting lumbered with him
  23. you mean then new manager bounce / honeymoon period, So you mean the 2 months where we won 5 games in 9 that's good but in the next 13 we've won 1 and that was vs the worst team in this league and that win was unconvincing because Ipswich had ample opportunities to at least get a draw out of the game. Grealish is good but in his career so for if the team is performing badly then he does as well he isn't the type of player that grabs the team and drags them over the line
  24. We've certainly got a new style. Seems we have the management equivalent of Scott Hogan where because it worked at 1 club it'll happen again and people people will blindly believe it'll happen eventually even though it's not happening game after game. These scout are these the ones that found Hause? because thank god he had problem with his medical so we can send him back and not get lumbered with the useless oaf. as has been mentioned in this thread it's bizarre when you look at Smiths career that some see him as the Yoda of football. When in truth he is just a bang average championship manager.
  25. But isn't that what we'll be doing when Grealish returns relying on a bit of luck or his individual brilliance.
