  1. I like him and think he has the potential to be a good manager at the right club. Though as I said a couple of weeks ago, we need to have as little as possible of this season hanging over us next season, a complete fresh start and Remi going is needed for that fresh start.

It doesn't matter who is next manager unless off the pitch is sorted as much as it can be under Lerner. Hopefully the things that are happening at the moment is the start of this.

  2. More or less wrote my Grandad's eulogy today. The funeral was delayed as it went to the coroner, although in the end they said there was no need for it to of gone to them.

I've made it hard for myself but as long as I get through the first bit ok I should be fine. The final bit will undoubtedly be hard as well but it won't matter whether I keep it together, so much.

On Friday I'll finally be able to say good bye to him.

That's a pretty poor line up. It's not quite Reading / Leeds / V / T in the Park bad, but it's not far off. There's maybe 6 or 7 acts I'd bother getting out of my tent to watch. Guess I'd just have to take a load of acid, and go dance with the hippies in the healing field.

Or Plan B just spend the bulk of the time at The Gully or The Blues (unfortunate name aside)

Where did you hear that? I'd be interested to know their logic and circumstances. I'm not even entirely sure what a milk by-product would be. Veal?!

I have a couple of friends who are vegan but eat eggs exclusively from a local farm that doesn't breed or kill their livestock, and keep them well, which seems fairly ethically and logically consistent.

My description probably wasn't great I just tried to describe various dairy products.

Surely they can't be vegan if they eat eggs. To be honest I find it weird that vegetarians eat eggs unless they are vegetarians because they don't like the texture of meat.

Surely they aren't vegan then (I say this as a tree hugging vegetarian)

That would be my issue. While I'm a meat eating, slightly ignorant bastard. I appreciate others think differently but but to try and categorise yourself as a vegan but you'rebasically a vegetarian is just taking the piss.

  6. I hired a Mustang when I was in Miami. A lot were probably rentals like mine but they were very common on South Beach, much more so than a fiesta here. Although it was also cheaper to rent than it would be for a fiesta here.

As for the car itself, I liked the Mustang but I don't think I'd get one if I had the choice.

  7. I'm in a bit of a tricky situation as I'm at the stage where I'd like to move in with my girlfriend and she wants me to move in too. Currently financially it is not realistically possible, as it would actually cost me much more to live with her than it does now.

Things hopefully will be changing soon, I just don't have a timescale. It could be 3 months, it could be a fair bit longer. I just feel a bit shit that I can't be more definite. We've not even been going out a year yet so it's not like I've been putting her off for ages.

It is the only option as it would put the relationship under too much pressure if I moved in and had no money. Hopefully it's not going to be an issue but it is a concern I have.

  8. I'm starting to change my mind on whether I want Remi with us next season and it's not really to do with his a ability as manager.

While a risk in itself and I'm not sure how realistic it would be to do, but we need wholesale changes with as little as possible from this season to remain. It's going to be hard to have any sort of positive outlook at the start of next season with how bad we have been this season, hanging over our heads.

    Aye, it is.

When you're listening, do you do whole albums at a time?

I suppose it varies but generally yes, it's good when an album feels like a piece of work as a whole rather than a collection of songs.

    Missed this, sorry.

What do you like that's not classical?

Monsieur Mooney is looking through more recent classical music.

They experiment with, and often entirely abandon, timing, tuning and recognised instruments.

It's not all a row, but it's often an acquired taste :D

I always really struggle with the what music do you listen to question, and while its not as diverse as some on here I listen to a fair range. I listen to a lot of Reggae & Dub at the moment then various forms of electronic music not so much the really experimental stuff, some indie, rock, punk, blues.

It's difficult to make recommendations. Imagine someone saying "I know nothing about pop and rock, where to I start?" Where would you point them?

"Classical" is even more diverse than that. Being A Book Guy, I read about stuff, and then try things out. I like bits of various eras, TBH.

That's what I like about the various music threads on here. People post things you've never heard. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't, sometimes it needs another chance and sometimes it leads you on to other things through recommended similar artists on Spotify, YouTube etc. Its good just to see what others listen to and then make your own mind up through exploring.

Sprinkle a couple of the titles into Spotify, see what you think?

The whole album is on there. Thought I'd have a look at widening my tastes a bit. Skipped through a few tracks and not so sure, but will give it a proper go some time.

Very much this. We have a neice who's anorexic, and it's a very complex and difficult condition to treat. First thing she needs to do is acknowledge that she has a problem and get help.

My girlfriends mum is anorexic. Since I've known her, her health has been ok but in the past she's put her body through a lot and been to hospital several times.

It's very hard for those close to them. Attention seeking can be part of the illness and not necessarily regarding food or their weight.

  13. Haven't even considered about speaking at my Grandads but I think I need to, as I'm actually his closest relative as my Dad died when I was very young. Have no idea what I'm going to say.

  14. Cheers for the comments.

He's been getting older and frailer and its realistically been a matter of when but even still it was a bit sudden. Although looking back, things he has said recently it seems like he knew his time was near.
