  1. There is no substitute for talent the one vital attribute he doesnt have
  2. Respect for your oprimism. Why wont we go down?
  3. Hang around on here long enough and you may find some. Interestingly the couple of real fervent supporters are silent but are reading the thread as they have 'liked' posts. Its a shame they have not posted as I would be really interested to hear their take on Lambert given the disaster unfolding. they're all probably a little embarrassed ATM
  4. OK Check this 7 pts behind L'pool - but - 5pts off Relegation place. at our current 1.something a game Liverpool would have to lose 7 GAMES ON THE TROT for us to be level with them. WBA (new manager), Palace (new manager) &/or Burnley would only need to win 3 games on the trot (or at some point in a run without losing) to OVERTAKE US Taking into account our next games Leicester (0-1-3pts) Arse Chelski & 'pool (0-4pts). 0 pts from 12 = LAMBERT OUT!!!! More likely 1 point from 12 = LAMBERT OUT!!!! possibly 3pts from 12 = LAMBERT OUT!!!! great would be 4 pts from 12 unlikely 6 pts from 12 4 from 12 would be 1 pt per game average WBA, Palace AND Burnley could all end up above us if we get any less than 3 pts 12 from 12 I'll give Lambert my B****cks on a silver plate ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If we occupy a relegation place and "Sacrifice" the Bournemouth FACup tie to "concentrate on the league" then................ LAMBERT (well & truly) OUT I was ridiculed for saying this only 1 game in and I fear the worse...................
  5. 1) hope not, but it might 2) Hope so, but might not
  6. Taking things a step further. Senario - Lambert takes us down Lerner "Well done Paul" turns to Mr Fox "let the fire sale begin" Lerner phones up PL & Sky "how much over the next few years?" 2016/7/8 Message on Face Book For Sale AVFC 10mill ono. Call Tom
  7. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. However, seeing the writing on the wall in AVFC case seems so obvious that its soul destroying to watch the inevitable unravel before our very eyes. I believe the time is long overdue for Paul to go. There comes a time when just staying for the sake, money, bloodymindedness or having nowhere else to go, comes into a grey area of being selfish and not thinking about the consequences of your own delusion. When it gets to this point, where I personally think he is, maybe even beyond, and you dont go gracefully, then your asking for what you get. Paul, Go before you invite the wrath. It wont be nice.
  8. I agree in part with this. However you see I think Lambert whilst not being belessed with a great budget in terms of fees and wages, although it is better than some, has in fact put a decent squad of players together. You know though one of my biggest issues with Lambert over the last year or so, and it was highlighted again yesterday, is too many times we have lost to teams not due to a lack of quality but due to a lack of desire. At the arse end of last season, when we were in a dire position and should have been fighting for our lives, we lost to Palace and Fulham not because they were better than us but because they wanted it more. The same happened yesterday. The reason we have taken two points from games over the last 4 weeks against West Brom, Sunderland, Palace, Swansea and Leicester isn't down to them teams being better than us or paying more in wages it is down to a manager that fails to get the best out of the players at his disposal and fails to get them playing with a heart and desire that ensures they give everything for 90 minutes. Leicester yesterday were full of heart and desire and wanted it more than we did and that is unforgivable. This issue is also highlighted by the fact we have on a number of occasions gone out of cups to lower league opposition under Lambert, again due to him not getting the best out of his players. Long term of course a new manager is not going to take us back into the top 8 with the current owner and anyone expecting a change in manager to achieve that is living in cloud cuckoo land. What a new manager can offer us though is the chance to organize a decent squad of players and get them playing effective football that gets the best out of those players, gets them giving their all and most importantly gets us results. The long term will only be sorted by the removal of the owner. The short to medium term can though instantly be improved by a change in manager. 100%
  9. A change is needed 1 Sack Lambert = reset 2 Caretaker appointment Scott Marshall???? Given???? Cowans???? 3 Change of team section process 4 Change of tactics 5 have plan A plan B & plan C Guzan Hutton Okore Baker (Clark after ban) Sissohko Sanchez Bacuna (or Lowton) Westwood Delph (when available or Grealish) Cole (Bacuna, Grealish or N'Zog) free role or Weimann up front with Benteke Following players to be used in emergency Lowton (only on right wing/Midfield) Richardson (only on Left wing/Midfield) Gaby (impact sub) we have a waffer thin squad we have no reasonable cover at RB (lowton not good enough) LB (Richardson NGE) DM (Westwood/Delph not ideal) CF (Gaby/Andy NGE) We have no RW LW No10 (Cole Not fit enough - CNZ ??? - Grealish Not yet) We need 7 players, 3 (better?) coaches, (Def,Mid & Att) 1 new Manager, 1 Assist. Man (better?) & 1 new owner no more injuries/suspentions please without a few of those changes = as good as relegated
  10. March will be too late maybe its already too late He needs to go NOW
  11. After reading the forum for the last 4 years I finally joined last year to voice my opinions which have been ridiculed by some here. I take no pride in critisizing people or thier opinions However, I take 100% pride in my opinion by saying this. LAMBERT OUT
  12. OK Check this 7 pts behind L'pool - but - 5pts off Relegation place. at our current 1.something a game Liverpool would have to lose 7 GAMES ON THE TROT for us to be level with them. WBA (new manager), Palace (new manager) &/or Burnley would only need to win 3 games on the trot (or at some point in a run without losing) to OVERTAKE US So basically, if things carry on as they are, we'll stay in the same place. (A)If we do better than the teams above us, we'll catch up with them. (B )If the teams below us do better than us, they'll catch up with us. Flipping genius stuff this! To be fair, I think he's saying it's far more likely that (B ) will happen than (A). Which seems reasonable enough. Yep. Was pretty obvious the point he was making. I got that. It still didn't require the convoluted calculations to make that point, which is what I was getting at. You don't need a calculator to work out we're less likely to overtake Liverpool than Burnley are to overtake us. FWIW, I think it's even more likely that neither will happen. I don't have any maths to back it up though. firstly, you edited out (I wonder why) my concern at not getting enough pts to remain the oh so cherished "12th - 5 pts above the relegation places" after the next 4 games. Secondly, If we catch Liverpool up that'd be good because theyre not going down Thirdly, If WBA, Palace & Burnley do overtake us WE'LL BE AS GOOD AS F***ed if we cant catch up again That's what concerns me Why let it concern you now? You can't do anything about it, aren't you better off leaving that kind of convoluted predicting to Nostradamus and letting the football do the talking first? I don't understand the obsession with getting wound up about things that haven't happened yet. Yesterday I was concerned Now I'm VERY WORRIED
  13. I had a Paper round as teenager. Had about 30 Sunday newspapers to deliver and remember adjusting the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal to a 2-6 victory in every copy. Was told off by the boss then he laughed at me and told me not to do it again
  14. Me too The entire Walsall team had French lessons at school Sacre Bleu - Merd
