Agree with this. Bernstein said they were thinking mid term with this appointment, not long term. They are probably thinking back in the Prem within 1-2 years and another year to consolidate position. If Bruce, Hughton or alike will do that then mission accomplished. We can argue about our more 'fancy' manager in three years. But we should be more pragmatic than dismissing people who could help us in our current plight.

Clark, Okore and Baker next season I think will be good alongside a proper leader defender. Clark is a different player in the Rep. Ire side and Baker has been developing in the league we are heading to. Adama worth keeping to see what he can do. His passing accuracy to himself was probably the most accurate in the side! Guess it would really show who cares and wants to fight next season with who wants to stay. Same goes for a manager.

Think there could be a few players who need bit of a reality check after this season; Adama hasn't said anything in the press to be fair. So he may just want to keep his head down and develop.

He was playing second tier Spanish football last year, he hasn't done enough to prove to anyone else he is a good enough team player for them to want to buy him off us. Unlikely anyone would want to take a £7m gamble on this seasons form.

The whole team dropped significantly just before Amavi's injury. Ayew is really frustrating, on many occasion he was in good positions and didn't get his head up and pass to players in better positions. He just hit weak shots. What Leicester have done is work together, what a lot of our players have done is become selfish. I think Ayew is trying to play well to engineer a move away by showing he is the only good player. Hardly working though.

The BBC coverage of us recently has felt really unprofessional, it's felt like the Sun or some tabloid. So Pat Murphy's points, rightly or wrongly, are being ignored by myself as bull plop. The board may have already looked at the foreign manager market and not seen enough to convince them that in the short term a foreign manager is a good appointment. Mid / Longer term that may change.

New head of recruitment and scouting. She has a faster laptop than Paddy so she can see player development on Football Manager quicker.

One key aspect we need is a management team who are all on the same page as the directors, executives and other senior club positions. One thing I have really noticed since Lerner's reign is how the hierarchy is important to many aspects of running a club and setting the culture that runs through it. We have had poor Directors since Stride, poor leadership from Lerner and the culture has been damage limitation for any manager. I hope this restructure will give the next manager a good ground to build on where we have clearer leadership, better work ethic and people who care about what they do.

The flip of this is he laid the ground work and development of these players for years and Ranieri is riding the coat tails of this graft. We wont really know which it is until next couple of seasons for Leicester or seeing what impact Pearson may have on us.

I agree, but it's sad they can't cross a ball. Makes you wonder what the focus is in training when they don't seem able to get their head up and pass it 4 yards. If Remi is sacked tomorrow should we go straight for a new man or take stock for a couple of months?

You could argue we have Grealish, Gil, Bacuna and Adama all of who play wide and 'should' be able to cross a ball. Green coming through also who plays wide. They have tactically been told to tuck in and allow overlapping full backs, who cannot cross for toffee. A more tradition British manager would hit the wide players sooner and get them to deliver much sooner than what we do. It's not as pretty but maybe more effective for us.

Pearson would have played two up front with wingers, drilled the wingers to cross the ball accurately and hit Rudy on a regular basis. Then even if Rudy doesn't get on it properly then Ayew can tuck in the rebound. Remi would never play so direct, even though that is the strength of some of our players. Sadly I feel he has tried to make our players suit his style rather than look at how he can get the best out of certain players strengths.

Looking over Bruce's record, he is quite consistent around the 40% win rate. The only anomalies were Palace (60%) and Sunderland (29%) who are, lets be frank, in the same dire situation as us in recent times. He is consistent and would not be surprised if we go for consistent.

Grayson hasn't really done enough for me, Southgate sprung to mind a few times when we were changing managers for me but again just not shown enough. He has the intelligence for it though. Little is a good mould to look at for a replacement. He had two or three consecutive playoff disappointments before the move to Villa. Think one had a controversial goal given after a comeback. But he was around 40 when he came to us with a strong record in the second tier.

Grayson does not feel like a choice of ambition, ex Villa but not done enough to show he is capable. Clement interests me but lack of experience is worrying. If we are being serious in our rebuild and want to get back on footballing track then go for a manager who has potential to build for the prem and do well in the prem. Moyes, Rodgers or alike. It's just a matter of whether we can be an attractive enough proposition for a good manager. I am sure the board will be savvy enough to realise we do need investment, just whether it's enough to tempt a good manager.
