Swapping him for Bailey today was an absolute master stroke. We had a bit less on the right wing but so much more in the centre of the midfield.

Absolutely on fire at the moment but definitely aided by out attacking midfielders of buendia and Ramsey.
Read through Newcastle message board on the match thread and there were so many comments that they should sign him. All good signs.

He’s everything we thought Digne would be. 2-3 more summer signings of his quality and we really will be threatening the top 6 next season.
-
That’s Joyce’s career down the drain. 18 months before he gets near a title shot now and he’s pushing 39 then. Shame really as he deserved a bigger fight.

Couldn’t back Delta work or Galvin after their battle at cheltenham, don’t think either will have enough to win but could both place.

Speaking of new lows, Jake Paul is now fighting Nate Diaz (in boxing) in August.
So the guy fights an actual boxer by trade in Tommy Fury (who isn't even very good), gets utterly outclassed, and is now back to fighting smaller, older MMA fighters.
The whole charade will continue ad nauseum as long as people keep buying it. Diaz will pull a lot of numbers in so it's bound to be a box office success.
It’s not really a proper fight and does nothing to improve the dwindling reputation of boxing but it’s certainly a fight I would like to watch.

I think weight loss via sustainable approach of more exercise and healthier eating is great and we need more ways to promote it. It's great reading some of the stories in here about how people have shifted the weight be changing their lifestyle.
I worry for the movements from America on "Fat acceptance" and "Healthy at any weight" as it's built around victim culture and doesn't promote improving health. It's more important here as we have a creaking NHS and less people going to hospital for preventable lifestyle reasons like smoking and obesity the better.
I personally think we should expand the sugar drinks tax to cover more. The additional revenue should go to fund the NHS.
You make some great points but the romanticizing of food and in particular takeaway culture is only getting worse. I’ve seen it with my own eyes on TikTok, there are now full time influencers who literally do nothing but eat takeaways and the likes of Starbucks every day to make a living, there’s a constant battle in the comments about whether it’s right or wrong and that engagement just makes them more money.
I really do fear for our kids in these coming years.

Said a year ago one or both of Phillips and Ward Prowse would improve us, still stand by that.

Excellent card all round really enjoyed that.

Red flag totally killed the race, all on the same tyre now as well so strategy out the window, shame.

Cracking race so far.

Ferrari operations no better than last year. Farcical really.

Full safety car for that

Perez clear favorite for me, I’ll be having a bet. Verstappen is going to need at least 2 safety cars to close the deficit down and even if he does Red Bull are having a laugh if they think they can tell Perez to move aside in the 2nd race of the season.

Verstappen unlucky son

Looking at our 11 and bench today it’s a miracle we are even close to the likes of Chelsea. It wouldn’t be out of the question to add 3-4 players to this team, we’re really at the point where it’s needed if we want to kick on.

These are my selections so far. Marine -trainer has been all over social media saying how much he fancies it so worth a punt imo, Facile the obvious danger. Jonbon just fancy this one in the coin toss with the Mullins horse. Constitution is special, can’t really back it but just can’t wait to see it win in good style. Edwardstone I have backed on all its wins and dodged it when it fell a few races back, just fancy it to win this. Galvin I can see cruising up and winning easily, probably my biggest bet of the meeting.
Cheltenham day 1
1:30 - Marine Nationale
2:10 - Jonbon
3:30 - Constitution Hill
5:30 - Mister Coffey
Cheltenham day 2
3:30 - Edwardstone
4:10 - Galvin
5:30 - Encanto Bruno

Which is completely off topic for this discussion and thread
Well fair enough, i suppose it could have gone in the general chat thread. I haven't followed this thread at all because I generally steer well clear of most political things but this is definitely being forced onto me from all angles at the moment.

In years gone by this would be a massive banana skin, if we could comfortably win this it will say aa lot about how far we have come under our new manager.
We have to accept that effort levels will slip eventually, its just the nature of the beast for a safe mid table team and one battling for their lives.
-
Thank god they've resolved this as swiftly as possible, not sure how we would all manage without Gary's incredible presenting skills and million pound plus salary on the books.

Take Kamara out and there’s not much quality. buendia poor today, Bailey woeful, Ramsey totally anonymous.
Did well to get a point considering most of the midfield put in a 5/10 today.

Local Booths supermarket Branston beans are £1 and buy one, give one free to the foodbank.
I buy the lidl ones at about 50-60p a tin, nothing wrong with them. I needed up buying the just essentials ones at about 1/4 of the price of Heinz, don’t care if they aren’t as nice I wouldn’t buy Heinz out of principle now.

Watched this and laughed at how bad the acting was in the first episode but i did manage 3 episode with the mrs on Friday. Its ok i guess...
Very naughty though so make sure you are comfortable with regular sex scenes if watching with someone else.
