I see from the Beeb's football page that mac Allister's red card has been overturned after appeal, what a surprise.....

Feels like they are overturning more reds and apologising for bad decisions more often than before VAR 😂, not sure what that says for this new and improved officiating.

Clearly run by someone who doesn’t understand football.

Feels like they’ve got tunnel vision with regards to the financial side without any thought for how you motivate 20 players all on 8 year contracts.

I still don't really get why they ripped up a team that finished top 4 and recently won a CL to replace it with a load of gambles. Sure the likes of Kante were getting older and probably needed replacing but they pretty much have a new squad. I understand they're going for young players with potential but they're not guaranteed to reach it and there doesn't seem enough experience around them (Silva excepted). For £1BN I would have expected a much higher calibre of player too. Now it might all come good eventually but you can't say it isn't a huge gamble.

It’s a very good point, instead of adding to that team and evolving it they basically started again at the cost of 1bn +, can’t say it’s that surprising it’s failed miserably so far.

Their husbands obviously have to agree to allow them, buy them the tickets and drive them there first though 😉

Imagine pretending you have morals and then playing for a club that has only allowed women to attend for 4 years. 😆

At the end of the day it's a difficult situation because the majority of people who drink alcohol and are able to keep it in moderation should not be denied the right to consume alcohol, I respect that. Perhaps it's up to people like me to engage with rehab and counselling services more. I only just have recently aftet all these years of abuse.

That's the exact reason for all drugs to be decriminalised (legalised).

  6. It’s a very short sample size but from what I’ve seen so far he looked a bit like Traore and Bailey combined into one. Great pace, a bit tricky and already a couple of goals, definitely excited by this transfer as it was an obvious weakness in the team last season and there weren’t many under Emerys time to be fair.

Yeah this ones timeline is between saw 1 and 2 therfore i think it will be very good as tobin bell will have suxh a major role in it along with amanda.

The last two have been ok but its just not the same with the original jigsaw

Makes you wonder how many they are gonna go for as they can do thia kind of thing fos a while

Very much looking forward to it, bit of a guilty pleasure for me these films. Massive horror fan but so much of the genre is just haunted house / ghost types now.

But its been boring for most of the last decade bar the odd season. With all the money in the sport they should be able to come up with a way to make it competitive and or more exciting.

I understand where you are coming from but if you’ve mostly found the last decade boring then maybe it’s not the sport for you.

It’s never truly been the same since refueling was taken away imo.

  9. Great drives from Norris and Russell.

F1 has got some thinking to do next year or in the coming years. I’ve been watching F1 for 20 years and this is easily bottom 3 seasons of the lot, quite possibly the worst.

Mahrez was the perfect squad player for them. Would come in and score hat tricks in the cup and also have a 2-3 month spell in prem where he replicated his Leicester form.

Shows the cheat code they're on that in 12 months they could potentially let go of all of Zinchenko, Sterling, Jesus, Mahrez and Kyle Walker and still probably comfortably win the prem next season.

I’m quite impressed that Pep isn’t afraid to move anyone on but there is a tipping point where even replacing them with arguably better players won’t always work.

Winning the champions league might take a bit of motivation out of some of the players as well, next season will be interesting.

    Perfect end to the window:

    Diaby: £40m
Johnson: £25m + Digne going the other way.
    Felix: Loan, option to buy.
    New GK
    New RB

    We’d take that wouldn’t we?

We most definitely would. 100% an upgrade on last years team and no signings just for the sake of it.

If Diaby is going to cost something like 45 million what’s the minimum goal contributions we would expect next year, I’m thinking at least 12-13 g/a

  12. Was happy to sit and watch the speculation for the last few weeks but we could do with bringing one or two more in soonish. We've been linked to so many players but mostly just paper talk it seems as nothing concrete has emerged.

  13. Maybe I'm blinkered but it still works exactly as i need it to.

There's more spam accounts popping up in replies and a few more marketing adverts but not enough to bother me in any meaningful way. I wont be in a hurry to switch to competitors.

I'm interested, but I'm not interested in having it linked to my Instagram.

My twitter usage and my instagram usage couldn't be further from each other. I don't want them combined at all

That would be my take as well, what's the difference between the two if you are just going to link them up.

It’s outrageous how good that Red Bull is. I’d imagine they don’t even have the engine turned all the way up on Max’s car as there isn’t really a need and it just increases the chance of a failure.

It’s frustrating to watch all the cars as DRS and boost is just a free pass. Gone are the days of exciting battling over a period or more than 2 corners.

I think the sport needs to have a good look at itself going forwards. All the energy seems to be going into bringing new (crap, street) circuits and more and more pre-race fanfare whilst the product itself is getting worse. It’s unsustainable.

    Exactly.

They have it the wrong way round at the minute. So much focus on all the other aspects when the racing this year has been some of the worst of the last 10 years.

I don't like the bigger tyres or the wear of them anymore. DRS is overpowered on this new spec of car and the cars in general seem to be more reliable than ever. Where is the jeopardy or tactics coming from anymore?

Selling Dendoncker, Sanson and Nakamba could get us close to £15m-£20m.

Replacing those 3 with Adams and Tielemans for a net spend of £0-£5m would be very good.

Then we can focus on spending the rest of our £200m budget on three £65m players. 😎

Exactly, it’s not always about marquee signings, anytime you can upgrade parts of the team it’s a positive step.

Has anyone else watched lots of Williams clips, and not been overly impressed?

I have watched loads of his "best skills, passes, runs etc etc", and tbh, i cant say i was super impressed, tbh it looked a lot like Bailey's videos did in Germany....

Williams looked fairly rapid/skilful, but i certainly wasnt sitting there going "wow".

Honestly though, how many players do wow like that.

You could pull out a hell of a highlights package for Traore and i think we all knows he's crap.

We have to just trust that Emery knows what they will bring to the team as he's looking at the bigger picture.
