We really do. Diaby, Bailey, Watkins, McGinn, Ramsey. They’re all good players in their own right, if not very good, it’s just they’re quite blood and thunder. They prefer running with the ball and trying to get in behind. Luiz and Tielemans are probably the only two where you think - ‘they might do something a little different here’ - and actually unlock a defence. I’m not saying the other players don’t, but like you say, the low block teams are tough to break down.
We’re missing, dare I say it, a Coutinho type. Buendia is kinda that player but he’s weak, slow and loses the ball way too often. We need that no. 10 type.
Yes we do miss Buendia we certainly don’t miss Coutinho

My bad, my sarcasm was too well hidden. I believe he is a part of the reason the dressing room is such a state.
They should **** him off, but they can’t because they gave him a ridiculous contract.
Not at all mate there was nothing wrong with the 3 I mentioned above it was Gary Neville and his media bandwagon mates that jumped on them.

Or when the trouble makers are ousted.
Pogba? Lukaku? Ronaldo? Rashford is incredibly protected by the media it’s like nobody else does any charitable work.

Thought they were a bit small time last year claiming the glory days were back just because they won the league cup, don’t get me wrong I’d love for Villa to win a cup but I remember a time where Man Utd deemed the league cup worthless.

Nicky Butt was also saying that Rashford is in a terrible dressing room… I strongly suspect he is a big part of the reason the dressing room is so toxic. Did he even have a touch in half an hour today? Did he break into a sprint at any point?
Cristiano was right all along made to look like the bad guy

Is he so wrong? 'A miracle' is strong language, but we can easily fail to make top 4.
Based on our form over the past 12 months only Man City have accumulated more points. So would it really be such a miracle?

Ridiculously poor punditry on sky last night little to no football content pre match. Clearly unhappy and dismissive of where we are in the league , defending every poor officiating decision post match.

Fair play to him, his celebration was subdued and respectful obviously had a smile on his face why wouldn’t he the young man has something to prove.

Different phase of play?

Should start this one has been good every time he’s played. Glad we have such excellent depth at CB it would be a shame to see him leave in January.

I suppose he’s not here to be popular he’s here to make the club money. The premier league lost it soul decades ago and if we are to compete at the top tough unemotional decision will have to be made.

I watch nearly every game and 90% of the time I see it as one more forward whilst the other sits deeper. Not saying he doesn't deploy different tactics but that's how we usually set-up, same when Konsa is playing RB, he sits in more. I do wonder if people actually watch our team at times.
There have been numerous times where we’ve set up different, sometimes Kamara covers the right hand side and drops as the 3rd central defender. Recently yes it’s often been Konsa, Carlos, Pau with Dinge/‘Moreno in a advanced position. Having watched more than one Unai Emery team play I can assure you his plans require flexibility and are not set in stone.

I think he's fine, the way Emery sets up is one attacking FB and one who sits deeper, so Moreno will be that one pushing forward and Cash sits back, no issues with that.
It’s one of Emery’s plans I suppose but sometimes we play with 2 attacking fullbacks the tactical approach differs when people constantly say this I wonder if the actually watch our team at times.

We missed him today , unbelievable how important he’s become in the last month or so.

Yeah that would be the question mark but any less than Dendocker? Perhaps Douglas Luiz plays deeper. Who played there in his suspension, I can't remember?
It will be Luiz & Mcginn or Tielemans

Nice finish his talent is obvious hasn’t quite been going for him but this is what Emery and Monchi do the polish players up and coach them into quality. Give it time and wait same goes into the Duran thread who’s starting to become a bit of a scapegoat, when will people learn?

I don’t despise he has ability. I think there is something there, I just don’t like the diving and the play acting and the constant moaning.
I don’t like players like that in general. It isn’t aimed at him specifically.
You Must have hated Grealish then

If he wasn’t good enough Emery wouldn’t be persevering with him trust me.
