Very true.
Its funny because sometimes SSN understands one thing and Sky Sports understands another thing!
They just like to think they are on top of everything.
Why is it a saga, Houllier only left last night!?
Jesus get a grip people.
I said is going to be a saga... didn't say it was
Not saying an appointment should have been made straight away but its not like they've had no time over the last couple of months to identify who they want.
I'd be surprised if that any influence on him staying to be honest. Its not like he was not being picked - he's POTY. If we make 4 or 5 big signings on the hand then that might make a difference.
Really don't know who I want either I think I'm favouring a younger manager who has worked his way up and deserves a chance at a bigger club. So perhaps a Martinez, Coyle or Lambert.
On the other hand a big name who demands respect could work especially after the problems last season and perhaps help players sign and stay.
I really don't think there is a manager available who everyone will be universally happy with however who it is we need to get behind them.
That's the big point for me. If we can get the replacements in to keep DB serviced and happy then let them go.
I personally don't think anyone will pay what we want for Downing.
Everything is dependent on his medical results, the papers don't seem to know what's going on as some are staying he's off and others are saying he's staying. Should be a decision next week by all accounts.
It will cost less if you want the number on the back of your shirt
Times hard Jimbo? :winkold:
Would rather spend the other number on a pint that's all
Will be an opportunity to say thanks to Ashley. I don't mind as long as they don't make a right song and dance about it, I'm sure quite a few of them will be embarrassed at a so called lap of honour
The next step for us is mid-table I think he'd get us that far
Id be confident of consistent top 7/8 finishes under Hughes. Id settle for him, but I wouldnt want him
Yeah same here Tom, I think he's the safe choice not the ambitious one
