    saw it yesterday...same conclusion. The first half is good, tense, interesting, etc. the second was just a bit stupid. Plus, it left me with way more questions than answers - so much so I was trying to work them out rather than just enjoying the film. That said, I will buy the directors cut as I agree that it seemed that loads had to be cut.

    I watched 'The Others' last night and was pretty impressed. I'm not good with ghost films - I'm always curious, but kind of a pussy - but the twist in this one actually made it not that scary in the end. That sounds like a criticism, but for me it was perfect! Also watched Troll Hunter - which was ace - but had to watch it with the English voice over as I had a horrible hangver. Will definately go for the subtitles next time!

    I live in Buckinghamshire...definately don't want this. I realise this is sentimental, but some of the countryside it's going to wreck is really beautiful. The benefits just don't add up for me. The main argument that we are being fed down here is that it will cut air traffic between London and Scotland, but the numbers are extremely debatable. Plus, who wants to go to Scotland? Yuk.

    Played it for a few weeks, but getting frustrated as it appears to try to be as overly complex as FIFA. I'm not a sophisticated gamer, I can only use two buttons at a time! Oh well, break out the mega drive and a bit of sensible soccer! (probably has more up-to-date club line-ups)

    Does anyone still play this? Firstly, I fully appreciate all of the problems that come with PES. Team names, lazy editing and all the rest. However, I still buy it. I was brought up on arcade games and sensible soccer. I love games that I can just pick up and play, so PES still appeals to me. I've played the latest FIFA games and they are very impressive, but I find to become good I have to spend some considerable time learning all the (seemingly) very technical controls. So, any secret PES fans still out there?

    I can't see him leaving. He so wanted to get to Villa after leaving Newcastle, he's our main man, he's a good, honest lad...so I jst dont see him going. Man city cant offer him anything we cant and he may struggle for a place. At Chelsea he may not get a place. Man u would be the only real possibility, but they claim they're not buying. Honestly, i just dont see him leaving, despite what sky want us to believe.

    through sheer coincidence and bad luck i'm in manchester this weekend. Just getting ready to head into town in claret and blue. I will quite happily take a kicking in return for a win. Thankfully we're watching in a man city pub, so should have a fair few on our side. C'MON VILLA!

    I have to agree...Delph wouldn't be the right choice in my eyes either. If we were to go 4-5-1 it'd have to be (and I can't believe I'm saying this) Sidwell. That said, I think we'll go 4-4-2 and hope that Carew can become useful again. Balls to it, I'm going for a 1-0 win with Carew scoring the goal.

    surely no one can vote 2. If you have faith then no amount of evidence, however conclusive, can change your mind...it will just be seen as a divine test of some sort. As for me, I think the whole idea of God is an extension of human arrogance (the 'we are the centre of the universe' bit)...'he made us in His image' - if He can do whatever He wants then why not look like a lion, or a dragon, or a wagon wheel?!

    McLeish quoted in the paper today as saying SHA don't want Glacticos. Er...shouldn't it be 'galacticos don't want SHA'. (no link I'm afraid - just reading it in a real newspaper, made of paper, therefore incompatible with Windows software - but it's in 'The Mirror')

    i'd like us to have more of the ball, but hopefully we can pinch another goal. I was hoping milner was in at the end there, got all excited, even hopped up and down a little bit!
