  1. Rubbish kit supplier doesn't have the high tech fabrics, overpriced too! With the gambling sponsor to boot there was no way my money was going on that shite!
  2. Exactly with ECL football a first 11 isn't really relevant anymore. It's about a core of 16 or 17 players whom will get loads of minutes. Then 6 or 7 that will supplement that core. I would say our core group is very good. We have McGinn, Tielemens, Bailey, Carlos, and Digne in addition to the first 11. If it weren't for the injuries we could add Buendia and Mings to that. Also Duran is staking a claim to join that group. The squad is looking very good.
  3. Which is why left mid I'd pick Ramsey a head of McGinn, because it's a more attacking role. And Right mid I'd pick Zaniolo for the same reason. And no 10 is Diaby's position!
  4. For me McGinn doesn't. I see McGinn as a proper box to box midfielder. But we don't really play with b2b midfielder. As a more advanced midfielder I feel he is a little lacking in technique. As a more defensive midfielder he is a little lacking in his positioning. He is so versatile that we can easily fit him in the team, but we have better fits now in all his positions. This season so far of 5 prem starts, only 2 of those has he played well. This need to improve. He was invisible against Liverpool and Newcastle, and got subbed first on Saturday because he was very ineffective. I don't see him as anywhere near as important as Luiz for example. He isn't in undroppable, or vital to the team. He leads by example, so if he isn't playing well, he isn't leading well.
  5. He reminds me of Grealish in regards to his natural enthusiasm for the game. And I also believe they are both players who need a bit of love and appreciation to get the best out of them.
  6. Sorry but Erikksen has never had the size, power, speed, and ball carrying abilty Zaniolo has. Similarly Zaniolo hasn't shown the passing, awareness, and intelligence Erikksen has. Very different players. One is an excellent footballIng iq with fine passing and touch. The other is a buccaneering powerhouse, with the abilty to dribble, link thinks up and finish.
  7. Currently he'll be a rotation option until he get fully fit, and match sharp. I fully expect our best forward line to be Ramsey, Diaby, Zaniolo, with Watkins in front. McGinn is the 12th man in my eyes, if any of those are injured or need resting he's in the team. In regards to McGinn, I love the bloke, but if all our player are fit and in form, he doesn't make the best 11. I don't expect to see this line up that often, as with the amount of games we want to be playing and winning, a lot of Rotaton is necessary, plus injuries will happen. What I'm trying to say is that what happens to McGinn is that he will play loads of games so long as he's fit, the same as JJ!
  8. In fact he's won 2 penalties. Two assist, and 3 goals, in 7 games. By anyone's measure that's a good return. He had a stunner against Liverpool, like most of the team. Prem goals will come, just a matter of time. His link up play and running has been good.
  9. I'm counting the winning of a penalty as an assist. Sorry 3 assists including winning a peno.
  10. He hasn't been very poor. 4 assists and a ECL hattrick isn't very poor, it's actually pretty good.
  11. Pau is quality. We can all see that. Yesterday he was much better in possession, but Palace don't press high. So he had lot's of time to pick his passes. He will need a whole season before we really see him at he best. He needs to learn the language and learn about his teammates. He needs to get comfortable with the aggressive high press of some teams. He needs to adapt to the extra aggression and physicality of this league. He also has been a one club man up until this season. Huge adjustments are needed. We must be patient with him. It'll be worth it!
  12. He'll score, in fact he'll definitely be in double figures come the end of the season. He has 4 prem assists from 5 games (which is really good), and a ECL hattrick. It's a good return so far. Prem goal is coming soon I'm sure.
  13. If he is fit and confident he is threat to any team. From what I've seen, when we get him one v one in the final third he can create, and he is good at the back post. Super sub role seems to suit him. He's had a very positive start to the season. We can criticise Newcastle away as he got bullied by Gordon! Liverpool away I feel he had a couple of good moments. But both those games our defense fell apart. And Liverpool gave our forward line little to feed off as our midfield struggled to string two passes together. Overall a good start to the season for him. His output has been very good, always capable of a goal or assist.
  14. He has all the talent in the world. Fast, strong, quick, skillful, a press machine, and right now so raw and unpredictable. This kid is exciting!
  15. This guy is huge talent. He'll adapt well I'm sure, but we need to keep he happy and focused, as well as injury free. Literally anything can happen with guy!
  16. Our style in possession is meant to be slow, take our time draw the opposition to the ball then bang quickly move the ball forward into the space. Then if it gets shutdown play it either across or backwards, if backwards start again with slow, if across probe. Palace did well not to take the bait most of time. They're a good team, that aim to nullify opposition then hit on the counter.
  17. We were by far the better team for the majority of the game. Their goal was good play from Mateta rather than poor from Pau I thought. Edouard being left unmarked however was poor. Konsa in no mans land. Penalty was stonewall! Never should've been reviewed. McGinn was very poor. In the league this season he has more poor performances than good ones! Zaniolo showed promise, looked a little rushed at times, needs a little adjustment, looks a quality signing. 112 minutes is a lot. Loads of time wasting from Palace, and a waste of time VAR decision. Most important thing here was coming back from behind against a well organised defensively sound Palace! We aren't going to go the whole season scoring first. Coming from behind to win will give the team confidence, and we need to be able to do this will some regularity.
