  1. Comments like that SGC do your credibility no good at all imo. Cuellar is a damn good player. I don't rate him, nothing he does will change this what a childish viewpoint to have. how so? I think he's an average footballer at very best with no technical ability

  3. Cuellar on the bench where he belongs, looks very weak though
  4. according to what? buying Heskey in Jan 09 when we needed a top striker to aid our CL challenge? buying nobody last Jan? Please enlighten me Ambition is tempered by the realities of the situation you find yourself in. This Jan for example, it's pretty obvious we'd not got the funds for players one way or another. You may have noticed that's hungover to now. I think O'Neill has the ambition to do things and succeed. He may go about doing so in his own way, but if he wasn't ambitious I don't think he'd be in the current job. It's just something you can tell about the man, and sometimes what he says. It's clear now that his foremost thoughts are of realities, but I daresay he's still has thoughts of achieving a lot. He just, currently, can't. You agree that we have no money? I have been saying this for some time but other people seem to think we have a bottomless pit, therefore we should be looking to do the Milner deal quickly in order to generate funds as well as selling off other fringe players. He doesn't act like he has ambition with his speed in the transfer market and ability to get things done and prepare for the new season.
  5. Of course, none of our players have any ambition, ditto the manager, owner... We might not get Flamini even if MON did want him, but don't you ever get bored by your own negativity towards the club you apparently support? It's not negativity, it's realism, there's a difference, the manager certainly doesn't have ambition, probably doesn't know the meaning of the word See that's not realism it's just childish, or if you do believe it - stupid. give me evidence to support your belief that he has ambition....

  8. I would be amazed if The actual negotiation of the details of the deal would have anything to do with O'Neill. He's already said Milner can go if the price is right. It's presumably down now to Man City's famous bloody-mindedness in finalising deals, in particular with premiership clubs (remember the Dunne saga?) you're probably right but I don't care who it is, just get it done! I have no idea why we've waited this long
  9. I agree he won't come here, people are living in a dream world if they think this will happen
  10. We won't get Flamini, he's too good for us and probably has ambition
  11. I'd bite their arms off for £24m, just get it done MON
  12. They'd be stupid not to want him, they have a dearth of CMs
  13. There's nothing to indicate he's unhappy playing for Villa. He just fancies getting paid twice as much elsewhere. He would be unhappy here if he was kept against his will
  14. Just because he wishes to go doesn't mean he will go. Man City may not want to pay the asking price and if we don't take him then he will miss out on valuable pre-season fitness. I agree with you that he doesn't wish to stay then sell him but I am sure MON will want to get his monies worth. Why even attempt to keep an unhappy player though? Just get him out of the door as quickly as possibly, if Man City don't want to pay the asking price, sell him to Chelsea at what price though? would you sell him for £12m to get rid of him? Personally i think hes a decent player and if we cant get above the odds i wouldnt sell. Im confident that he will still give his all for villa I'd sell at about £20m to Chelsea, no doubt he would give his all for us still but his would be effected mentally, this should be sorted by now! We need to prepare for next season, it's ridiculous

  16. Why take him on the tour? It makes no sense to me, if he wants to go, just get the best price for him and get him out as quickly as possible so we can crack on with our preparations for the new season, is that too much to ask?
  17. great find Gareth, he was quality in that UEFA Cup campaign but according to wiki has only played 40 games in 3 years but I'm still surprised that no-one has snapped him up yet
  18. And I can't seeing us signing anyone until this is sorted one way or another. Me neither, I'd be amazed if we get anyone in before West Ham
  19. that's because Totti and Del Piero were extremely overrated at their peak, that's rubbish about Villa, he has been since 2006 WC
  20. he wasn't in the same league as them Zatman, David Villa is far better imo
  21. far superior striker in every way, shape or form
  22. 24 league goals last season and he's not good enough :?
  23. Bent shocking? that's a laughable comment although we would've have got him for £8m or whatever
